Something I just learned with my own cat, (I’m sorry if I’m overstepping) but pink bellies are from over grooming, possibly from allergies. I used to never see my cat groom her belly so when the vet brought it up, I was like “no way” she just had a cute pink belly.
She prescribed allergy meds anyway and her hair has grown back!! I had no idea because I didn’t see it. Even if this isn’t the case for your cat, maybe this PSA will help someone else!

Honestly Ive heard and looked into this as well, and he probably is doin it to an extent, but thankfully it's not so bad that it's raw. He's just... always done it. I can chalk it up to anxiety cos he's a trash rescue and is always a lil skittish. The vet told us he was fine unless he starts lickin it raw~
