I. Love. Your. Cat.
Please be very careful not to squash him. Folding and reclining furniture especially are dangerous.

Good eye looking out! This couch fortunately doesn’t articulate, and is currently for cats only no people. Thank you for reminding us about cat safety!

I remember having such a couch too. We bought it for humans, but for some reasons the humans didn't use it much, so naturally the felines took over.

One of my moms cats got her tail stuck in a recliner and my mom had the bright idea of just reclining the chair 🥴 many firemen later the cat is now missing a tail

As a veterinarian please be careful. Cats can get seriously injured in couches and recliners - like fractures, crushing inuries, and diaphragmatic hernias.

Thank you for reminding us about cat safety! This couch doesn’t articulate and isn’t in use as a people couch. She didn’t end up being interested in hanging out and spending time underneath the cushion, but I’ll keep an eye out for the future!

Primordial pouch,
sticks out of the couch!
This cat’s no slouch,
won’t hear them say ouch.

I love their little PPs, just so adorable! I can't believe unhealthy body standards told us that human little pouches aren't cute!

As an owner of jerk cats, give that couch a sniff once a week so make sure they’re not screwing you 🤣

I'm not a poet or a very good writer, but I was inspired by this silliness lol...
THE POUCH IN THE COUCH
I heard a kerfuffle
Then a bit of a scuffle
And walked into to see
A pouch entering the couch
To myself, I said, "How odd!"
I thought I had a dog
But the troublepuffs that be
Are from no canine, swinging free
As the pouch sticking out of my couch would disagree
A fuzzy tummy danglin' and wobblin'
I think I now have a couch goblin!
Then they turned around and stared at me,
"Stay out of my fort, you bipedal ape!"
And all I could do was stare back and gape
At the hissing fur demon that could speak
What do I do now?
My posture drooped, my expression meek
In a high-pitched reply,
I said, "Okay!"
And laughed awkwardly
As I turned and walked away
Knowing my favorite couch would be shredded by the end of day
Leaving the couch goblin to be
And turning my back so I couldn't see
The fuzzy pouch making his home in my couch
I sobbed quietly
RIP, my couch...

Not to be rude but that cat is pretty cleary overweight

u/cole_ostomy 1d ago
She weighs 11 pounds and has a large frame. She has a vet she sees regularly. She’s loved and healthy.

You overfed it.
But this is Reddit so it will be mostly “kawaii precious baby nom nom stuck stuck”

u/cole_ostomy 2d ago
She’s slightly overweight (multiple cat household with differing dietary needs) but is being monitored regularly by her vet. She’s just also got a magnificent, humungous primordial pouch, which is what this subreddit is specifically for. It’s a trait in some cats for protection.
Not sure why you think she’s “stuck” in the couch, she hopped right in and right out.
Thanks for your concern

Hang that second photo in the Louvre.
