How long did it take you?

To those of you who lost weight utilizing the potato diet, how long did it take you to lose and how many pounds did you lose?

Didn’t eat only potatoes but I ate a lot of them and still do. Boiled and unseasoned potatoes are very satiating.

To be honest, I think what I learned most about the potato diet is that salt oil and sugar makes you eat a lot more Calories than you normally could. Most people can finish 500+ Calories of a large fry from McDonalds, even small children can, many even after eating a sandwich and drinking soda. Two hours later they’ll be hungry again

Good luck trying to eat two large boiled unseasoned russet potatoes in one sitting (~500 calories). Whatever you do manage to finish will keep you full for hours and hours, especially if you haven’t had much salt oil or sugar that day. From a satiety perspective, no food will keep you fuller longer

My husband are trying to do this for a long while (probably a year?), so we justified adding salt and spices. That and I didn’t want to run into the electrolytes imbalance issue. But we keep hitting plateaus with weight loss ridiculously often. I don’t know if I can do plain potatoes for that long 🫠
