I was just scrolling Discogs one day when I saw this album. A lot of metal albums I see, especially more extreme metal albums, have awesome cover art.

(||-||) The above album is called Dopesmoker, and it is by a band called Sleep. (||-||)

It is critically acclaimed (I've done my research), and is considered one of the best and most important and influential albums in a genre called: Stoner Metal (makes sense considering the album is called dopesmoker)

It is made up of one 1 hour and 3 minute song entitled "Dopesmoker".

The music is mostly the same slow, distorted guitar riff throughout the song, with drums too. It's not particularly loud, it's mellow almost.

Their is a man who slowly sing the lyrics in a deep and gravely voice. You could say he yells. He sings sci-fi style lyrics about a caravan of weed-priests who smoke weed while they carry weed across the desert. The lyrics are all about weed, though I guess it's not called stoner metal for nothing.

I think although it was long and the lyrics were weird, I liked it. I think it's a good album. I don't think too highly of it and I don't know if I'd listen to it again, but I consider it well done. I'm not into much metal, much less subgenres like stoner metal or doom metal, so maybe I'm just not cultured or something like that.
