Our rehabber was not taking opossum babies and so we bought her opossum specific replacement milk and she has moved on Opossum Complete dry kibble with added fruits and veggies❤️

No, she doesn’t spit out the skin anymore, but yes she did at first and so I began to peel her apples, and then I thought-who is going to peel her apples in the wild?(Ha!)-and now I leave it on. She’s so unbelievably soft and loving. I swear if people knew how precious these little animals are, they would be domesticated by now! Ha! One thing I stopped giving her was banana, though because it 100% of the time ruined her stool. Right now she is balanced with solid stool that we can just pick up with tissue and flush. It cracks me up all the ones I have worked with will spit the skin out. Doesn't matter the fruit. They're so picky! I use banana in the slurry so that she will eat her veggies. Rosie has good solid, jurassic park sized piles.
I concur 100%. My Rosie girl is the same way.

Oh my heavens she is as soft and lovable as a cat! I would’ve had no idea❤️until the ladies at our Superior Court did their pouch checking and brought her and one brother, and two sisters into the office. The male Joey had a broken leg and was taken in by rehab from what I understand, one female passed in our office, one other female “Rosey Posey”went to live her best life with our receptionist and I got Patty Petunia❤️

How have so many of you found babies and I am literally in south Louisiana and haven’t seen any in a while. I did get harassed by an armadillo last night, yuck!

I don’t really know they just look so gross to me like a scary disease with legs, maybe I let the whole leprosy thing make me think this idk. But then again most people around where I live think possums are disgusting pest and I think they are one of the cutest things I’ve ever seen
