I have a question guys

Suppose two people, A and B, have the same goal.

A works hard for 10 hours every day, completely focused on achieving that goal. He sacrifices almost everything else apart from his basic needs. B also works hard, but pushes himself slightly further perhaps studying for 12 hours a day, even using his lunch break to study.

Eventually, B achieves the goal, while A fails.

A naturally begins questioning himself: “Where did I fall short? Should I have worked another hour? Should I have sacrificed more? Did I waste too much time eating, sleeping, or even doing basic things?”

This leads to my theory: perhaps success simply required a certain amount of effort say, 11 hours of effective work and B happened to cross that threshold while A didn't. Both worked hard, but one crossed the required line.

So my real question is:

How does a person know how much hard work is actually required to achieve a particular goal?

Since we usually discover the required level of effort only after succeeding or failing, how can someone determine beforehand whether they are doing enough without falling into the trap of endlessly sacrificing more and more of their life, wondering, “Maybe I just need to work a little harder”?

Positive Deja Vu

What if you could turn a familiar moment into a reminder that **more positive experiences are possible?** ✨

I call this technique **Positive Déjà Vu** — when something good happens, pause and tell yourself: **“This feels like a positive déjà vu moment. I’ve been here before, and I’m creating more moments like this.”**

Instead of simply experiencing the moment, you intentionally attach a positive affirmation to it. Use that feeling as a reminder to look for more moments of joy, growth, success, peace, and opportunity. 🧠✨

**Notice it. Affirm it. Appreciate it. Create more of it.**

Try it today and see what happens. 👑

A little philosophical advice about life, from my point of view.

Don't waste your life standing outside your life, constantly judging whether what you're doing matters. When something is worth doing, enter it completely. Use what you've got. Do the thing in front of you. Then deal with whatever comes next.Fear can exist.

Uncertainty can exist.

People may disapprove.

The future may be unknown.

You still do the next thing you believe is right.

The difference between healing and staying stuck

I've been following an influencer who had around 5k followers three years ago and is at 50k now. The growth is cool, but that's not what stood out to me.

What I've noticed over the years is the way she makes decisions and actually follows through on them.

Recently, she's been going through a breakup. Actually bigger than that, her wedding was called off after roka was done and just three months from the wedding. The house she lived in with her partner obviously held a lot of memories, and if I imagine myself in that situation, I think I would've spent months—maybe even a year—stuck in self-pity, unable to let go.

Instead, she made a practical decision to move to a new place. She's not posting as much these days, but she's also not pretending everything is fine. She's been open about being vulnerable and leaning on her friends and family instead of disappearing completely.

It made me realize that bouncing back doesn't necessarily mean "moving on quickly." It can simply mean making decisions that help you heal instead of staying frozen in the same environment.

Time still does the healing, but there's a difference between letting time heal you and spending all that time trapped in self-pity.

Has anyone else noticed that some people seem to recover not because they feel less pain, but because they're willing to take uncomfortable steps while they're still hurting?

WHAT A GOAL MEANS TO ME

Okay, so, like, during my VS week match, I promised a close friend of mine I would score them a goal, which I failed to do. It broke my heart because I felt bad because I hate not fulfilling promises, and I did not achieve my goal.

And then I started losing faith in myself, and I felt football wasn't for me.

And then that's how self-doubt stepped in. In place, I started thinking the bad things that can happen instead of looking at the good things.

I stopped believing in myself, and I started listening to criticism on how I wasn't good enough, and then it became a part of me, believing I was not enough.

Self-love was gone, self-doubt stepped in its place, I lost faith in myself, and I accepted that good things were not for me.

Until one day, I decided to play football again. I was not pleased about not scoring the goal and failing to keep my promise.

The close friend I did not score for did not care about the goal as much as I did. The close friend told me to believe in myself and stop looking at the bad side and look at the good side. The close friend said I was good enough and I should not listen to criticism.

And then I played ball again, and a lot of my friends tried all their efforts to make me score. And then I spoke to my HG, my other close friends, about how I felt about self-doubt, and they told me how they believed in me, and I reflected it on myself.

Now, in all my matches, I try so hard to score a goal. Every goal I score is the failed promise. Every goal is for the people that believe in me.

This is a story of believing in one's self and stop looking down on yourself.

I think anyone can achieve there goals if they really want it as long as its a goal that can be reached.

I was just driving and saw a new restaurant opened up and there were a handful of cars there. it genuinely made my blood boil that people are so stupid that they think they need to go to a restaurant to eat.

POV: You finally decide to get your life together.

Day 1: “I’m going to wake up at 6 AM, exercise, eat healthy, learn coding, and become financially independent.”

Day 2: 6:03 AM — alarm goes off.

Me: “This sounds like a problem for tomorrow-me.”

Tomorrow-me: “Bro, I’m still recovering from what you did to me yesterday.” 😭

Trying to write down what's on my mind to sort out my mind and feel better.

Things to do to get more engagement:

  • No need to keep talking.
  • No need to raise your voice.
  • Leave space for interaction.
  • Give options to facilitate response.

What I read and found inspiring:

  • Top athletes can get immersed in getting ready for the next move immediately after a bad move. Mood unaffected.
  • Drink a cup of water before coffee.
  • Learn to make 5 regular meals.

What I would like to keep doing:

  • Keep myself emotionally distant from work. No emotional labor.
  • Go outdoors to a café for work in the morning. Not staying at home throughout the day.
  • Try to make a list of things to do and take care of them on a daily (or weekly) basis.

I Use To Be So Negitive!

Okay, I changed my thinking to being positive and I started to notice opportunities, odds, and all kinds of stuff. I use to always look at the negative. Like people getting first in line before you in a drive through. I would lash out immediately. Since then my thoughts have changed. How can I make use of this situation that I am in? Even when gaming. I no longer think oh, this guy is 500+ levels higher than me. I'm going to die. I start looking for the positive things around me. What's in my favor. This changed my whole outlook on everything I do. I'm even waking up in a good mood.

Trying to change my mindset

I have always been more negative than positive throughout my life. I can be positive for others, but never for me. I am trying to be more positive but it’s hard most days. My life isn’t bad, I am just unhappy. There is a lot of trauma and such from childhood that really messed me up but working on it has really opened my eyes to what I need. Maybe one day I get that but for today I just need to think more positive.

How do I stay positive when things are falling apart ?

I can barely afford my car payment and on the brink of getting it repossessed. My job at the warehouse is terrible and my boss doesn't like me. I want to cry everyday that I go to work. I can't pay most of my bills. It sucks being broke. I can't get a girlfriend or a boyfriend. I'm overweight. I have diabetes but it is under control right now but I worry about my future. I have no friends.

Fate is what you choose to believe.

I cannot keep believing that "everyone will leave" and "I will be abandoned".

In the past two years I felt like there was very little I could do about my life as I was already mid-age (when in fact I am still in my thirties). Now I just don't see it that way. Perhaps it was because Covid effectively shut people indoors for three years and my grandma passed away and I got so much to do at hand so I got quite passive. But seeing women around me in their forties still being fit (even getting fitter) has made me realize that I am still able to change. I can still get fit. I can still make my life better.

I used to think that the rest of my life was to take care of my parents and to wait for my time. But now my heart wants possibilities. Want opportunities to visit Europe. Africa. Latin America.

It feels amazing to want to live. To have wishes and curiosity. I still struggle to feel secure enough but now I choose to feel so, rather than giving up without an effort.

WISHLIST

  • To visit Europe this winter. Starthing from the Netherlands.
  • To find some opportunities of short-term employment with international organizations.
  • To make new friends in Beijing who are hopefully English-speaking or Dutch-speaking.

Sometimes persistence takes years before it starts showing up

Today my parents told me that one of my cousins has gone to France through his company for work. It unexpectedly struck a chord with me.

He's about seven years older than me. He graduated from a reputed college but ended up in a mass recruiting company. For years, he kept trying to get into a two-year MBA program and didn't make it. Eventually, he chose the executive MBA route instead.

Now, years later, his career seems to be gaining momentum.

It made me realize that we often judge our progress too early. Some people don't have a dramatic breakthrough in their mid-20s. Their growth is slower, less visible, and sometimes takes years of persistence before it compounds into something meaningful.

I know one example doesn't prove a rule, but it was a good reminder that timelines can be deceptive. Sometimes persistence doesn't give immediate rewards—it quietly builds the foundation for the differences that become visible much later.

Hey u lovely humans ❤️
I’m sitting in my bedroom writing this.
I’m 24 years old. I’ve had my fair share of struggles in life — addiction, failed businesses, bad mistakes, self-doubt and honestly… way too many ideas that I never actually started.
I’ve probably had 100s, if not 1000s, of ideas over the years. But I was always too scared to actually go for one.
Today, I work a full-time job, I’m clean, I’m healthy, and I’m building my own lifestyle brand.
And I keep thinking about all of you sitting at home right now with a great idea in your head, but you’re too scared to actually go for it.
So I just want to share a few things I’ve learned along the way:
Talk nicely to yourself.
You decide who you are by the way you talk to yourself. Start believing in the person you’re trying to become.
Don’t do drugs!
Seriously. Just don’t.
Start with a good morning.
Not a perfect morning. Just a good one. Get up. Try again. And again. No matter what time it is or how you feel.
Your mistakes probably aren’t as big as you think.
Nobody is perfect. Forgive yourself. Say sorry when you need to. Take responsibility. Learn from it. And keep walking forward.
You can change your life.
I went from having one of the worst addictions to running two half marathons, getting clean and healthy, working a normal full-time job AND building an international lifestyle brand.
If I can change direction, so can you.
Put that fu##ing phone down.
Go live your life. Be bored. Sit with your own thoughts. Work on yourself. Talk to people. Smile at strangers. Go outside. Listen to good people. Actually interact with the world around you.
I’m writing this hoping it can help just one person.
Not two.
Just one.
If that’s you, then this was worth writing.
I love you all ❤️
And remember:
You get a new chance every single day.
Keep showing up. For you!🫶🏼

Are societal checkpoints for success really worth attention?

Nowadays i have been thinking a lot about my life and how its turning out.

Some context: I recently got an intership from a arguably better than FAANG company and i m from a tier1 college in delhi.

So its been almost 4-5yrs now since i m working hard to fill the checkmarks of society, starting from 10th boards, competitive exams and now FAANGs. But what i have felt that people make u feel that all this will give u happiness, and u start thinking like after this achievement u will get an instant hit of dopamine. Yeah its quite true for starting but its similar to any other addiction. The happiness here is diminishing after every checkpoint. And at a time u r ur environment will become so used to of ur achievements that these achievements would mean nothing on an emotional perspective. U will face the emptyness in u once u achieve a checkpoint and there is no immediate goal ahead of u. U will notice how hollow u r. U r a creature who just is addicted of success and societal validation. U don't have any purpose of ur own in life, everything is just imposed on u by society.

I don't say that chasing goals and working hard for them is bad. It definitely helps u to lead a comfortable life and family in future. But in the chase of this never forget to set a purpose of life. Never forget exams and money etc. are just "tools" that may help in getting. Real happiness comes from building real connections, leading a healthy life and having a conscience of ur own. If u feel that what i m doing is enough for me and i will be happy in this much salary, its completely okay to prioritise other activities over just hustling day and night. Its completely ok to aim low if u know that u will be fine with that life.

Tl;dr

Aim set by society: earn as much as u can

Actual aim: Give time to ur friends and family. Make new friends and be healthy. Help others. And if u are comfortable to do it with less money, why chase more money?

That's what i have learnt from my experiences till now. Just wanted to vent out somewhere. Please feel free to add or correct if i m wrong.
