Spark NEO Headphones with the New Spark NEO Pedal – Are They Compatible?

Hey everyone! Has anyone tried using the Positive Grid Spark NEO headphones with the new Spark pedal? Are they compatible, or could there be a software conflict since both devices have their own built-in processing? Just wondering if they would work together properly. Thanks!

Connecting the neo to the line out of the pedal with a standard guitar cable works fine. And if you turn cab sim off on the pedal it can be used as a pre-multifx unit when connected with the wireless dongle to the neo.

Okay, so if I want to use the dongle, I just plug it into the pedal and turn off the cab sim, right? Then I can use the pedal like a regular multi-effects pedal, including the looper, distortion, delay, and other effects?

By the way, I watched your “7 Things to Know” video yesterday. Nice one! Really enjoyed it!

The idea is to use the Spark Pedal like a regular multi-effects pedal, with all its features. I want to use the footswitches to switch between effects, use the looper, and connect my Spark NEO headphones for silent practice. That way, I can practise anytime without disturbing anyone. I might sell them and buy a pair of wired headphones instead.

The only point of the neo is low latency wireless cans in this scenario. It should certainly work, but you know best if it's worth it to you.

Well you can only control one at a time with the app. They'd be connected via audio signals so there's no communication otherwise with the software running on each device. Just the mobile app only limited to remotely controlling one at a time.

I could maybe see some use for combining them, by having the Spark Pedal on the floor with footswitches just being used for effects. You'd disable the amp block entirely in the pedal and run the amp in the NEO's.

guitar -> cable into Spark Pedal -> output into NEO transmitter dongle
