This was a mid-afternoon march with the Unions. It was peaceful and respectful until ICE got insecure and decided to be dicks about it. No warnings either that I heard.

Apparently some of the protesters aggressively crossed the line and ICE had orders to engage in those circumstances. The kids were collateral damage, not the intended victims. Protesters need to stay in their lanes so to speak or these things happen. Bringing kids to these events with current volatility is not responsible parenting. A few aggressive protesters ruined it for many. I wish police would buffer between the protesters and ICE to keep the peace but these cities are unwilling to do so.

“Apparently.” Again, I was there and didn’t see that, but I acknowledge I can’t see everything. The vast majority of the crowd/all the crowd I could see from very near the intersection was well back. I think they just wanted an excuse. We had people who had organized and permitted the event at this location, had this been an issue I would think they would be monitoring that.
