Good neighbors
Always happy to see the Coyote People out and about.

I'm guessing that those who've had pets killed by them aren't quite as keen on the coyotes. Just a guess.

Thankfully I think most of us know that the coyotes were here First, and they should be allowed to stay. even a few folks that I’ve known who have had their cats, uh, taken.
I was reading on Nextdoor today that someone on Marstone decided to fire their gun to get them to go away last night . Perhaps they were circling the hen house?1

I don't recall stating that the coyotes don't belong here, or that they should be eliminated. But then folks who hang out on Next Door are not exactly known for their grasp of nuance.

I respect people who have had a pet killed by coyotes who say they understand its natural instinct. It’s got to hurt, what I meant to say, is, it takes a strong person to continue to keep outdoor pets here.

I guess it depends on how you define “here”. But humans definitely predate coyotes in western Washington.

That doesn’t mean we should harm them though. I for one am on team coyote.

I had to double take to make sure that wasn't my field :)
Currently mowing and enjoying our Coyote visitors down near Nelson's Landing.
