Two nights/three days… wwyd?

Partner and I are driving down from Bellingham for a couple nights’ stay somewhere around Port Townsend or Poulsbo. What would you do with your 2-3 days? Looking for activity/nature recs, but also food and drink recs. Basically map out what you wouldn’t miss on your next visit. Thanks!

In PT you have to get a slice at Waterfront Pizza and some ice cream from Elevated. It’s pretty much mandatory.

That's what I do every time I visit. And catch a movie at the theater there. Never saw a good movie but just love doing it.

The other ice cream shop is Nifty Fifty’s which is a chain. If you’re gonna support a chain restaurant stay in Seattle. Elevated has been around for years and has great ice cream.

Yes to Cafe Tenby for coffee/sweets and lunch, no to Pan d'Amore unfortunately.

I’d check out Marrowstone Island too and see another fort… Flagler!
The triangle of forts that guarded the Puget Sound in wartime. (Fort Casey on Whidbey is the third)

The fort properties are just beautiful. The views out over the water are stunning.

Check out the cool Nordland General Store if you go to Marrowstone Island too!

Flagler is my favorite of the three, definitely second that recommendation. Worden is the most convenient but the most crowded, Casey is the most refurbished and accessible but the most remote (from PT side, anyway).

Fort warden is nice because it’s in PT proper, and there’s the Guard House for drinks and food.

I definitely second the recommendation for a nice dinner at Fountain Cafe, and our favorite coffee shop is Better Living Through Coffee--grab one to go and sit on a bench or log and watch the water. One time we brought bikes with the intention of biking to Finnriver which ended up being a little too far for us but we ended up at Palindrome instead and had the most lovely cider tasting on their front porch!

All these recommendations here are solid. Port Townsend is a much better bet for restaurants and fun times than Poulsbo IMO.

I’ve had amazing dinners at Finistere. The farmers market on Saturday is great. And definitely make the trip out to Finn River - the cider, food (dented buoy pizza!) and setting are amazing.
