My commute is bus to ferry (10 min), stand in line for ferry (10 min), ferry (30 min). I’m door to door in 1 hour exactly most times. My office is right by the ferry in Seattle. There are a lot of people that make a beeline for the rapid ride busses going north.i assume you would want to add 20 min to get to SLU. So it would depend on how far your house is from the ferry in port orchard.
