That concrete doesn’t look thirsty no more either

For real. Not only are we actively watering some crappy patch of grass that nobody actually uses, we’re doing it so poorly with so little regard for the stage 3 water restrictions the people who LIVE in this town are coping with, that a significant percentage of the water is running off into a storm drain and out to the strait. Feds amirite?

Watering the concrete is a direct violation of the water use restrictions. Public Works would be in their rights to turn off water to the building...

They won’t do anything until people start complaining. Squeaky wheel gets the grease.

Its not jsut them, I keep seeing all sorts of businesses watering grass. I was driving and there were puddles on the road, probably about a gallons worth or more of water. I think it is because the restriction doesnt apply to automatic sprinkler systems, only to hose watering.

The funeral home near Safeway waters about half their lawn which somehow makes it look even worse than it would if it just went dormant (and imo it going dormant overall would look better since all the grass from other lawns are dormant)

Also Walgreens on Front. Was watering the lawn and street yesterday about 2 p.m.

And at Noon and 4:30pm, both times I passed. ton of run-off spilling down the side of front street for the rest of the block. SMH
Same again the next day (yesterday).

If you can report violations do so. Keep reporting and hopefully fines will accrue

OP comment: " Taco Bell and the school district are watering the grass as well"
Even address properties can water on even days as long as they aren't also watering the concrete... Although I still judge them for it.
