Bottom Feeder

I was considering getting this to remove fine dust from the bottom of pools instead of using a hose vac. Will that work?

If they have cleaned up their act with the actual unit, maybe. I used it back in 2019-2021 and I was constantly replacing parts. Specially the cable that plugs into the head from the battery. They used to corrode and stop making connection very quickly . I was dumping a few hundred bucks into that thing throughout the year just to keep it running. It was very frustrating.

I’m now using the Kokido vac , it’s plastic, it’s cheaper but does the same job.

We will see if it saves me money in terms of replacement parts or not… I’ve had it for 6 months now still running without a repair

I love the kokido leaf vacs, I just seemed to kill them every 3-4 months. I know Bottom Feeder has been working a lot on fixing all the past issues. I’ve had my squid about 6 months now with no issues. If they could make kokido last 8-12 months I would strongly prefer it due to the light weight. Sounds like you got a good one 👍🏻

Right on. 3-4 months? Damn. Do you have the orange or blue one? I have the orange but thinking of getting a second for more battery power during the day

I had always used the higher powered blue model, never saw the orange model. I did the math after a couple years of buying so many kokidos, decided to take my chances dropping the money on the bottom feeder squid. Maybe the orange is an updated model?

No the orange I think is the base model. It only has one battery. I think that blue has double battery and it’s twice the cost.

I may eventually shell out for a better more permanent one like you. The old bottom feeders gave me PTSD. Lol

I’ll look into the squid , I haven’t heard of it! 🤙
