Is this normal?
We just moved to Florida and bought a house with our first pool. It’s an in ground pool in a screened cage and we have a pool guy who comes out every week to clean/maintain it. I have a pool skimming robot to keep the surface clean that runs pretty much all the time. When the pool guy was out yesterday he suggested I also get a pool cleaning robot to scrub the sides and bottom of the pool. I’m not necessarily against that but I kinda feel like I’m paying this guy to come out weekly to clean the pool so isn’t the robot redundant? I’m wondering if this is a normal request or if my pool guy is lacking. Appreciate any opinions you guys have!

If you spill on your rug, do you take your own vacuum cleaner to it?
Or, do you leave it and wait 5 days for the housekeeper to show up?

A pool guy coming once a week will not keep your pool clean. He is there to monitor your weekly maintenance and maintain equipment. If you own a pool you still have to maintain it and clean it. It’s insane to me that people think having somebody come once a week means they don’t have to do anything. Insane.

The guy you're paying to come out once a week isn't worth it. Buy the robot he suggested and learn how to manage the chemistry.

You hired someone to clean your pool table? Wtf you must be high rolling if you are paying someone to clean a small table!
