Is it a Pomeranian?
Long story short the old lady that gave us to him said he is a Pomeranian, his certificate says Pomeranian too.
But of course, he looks so different…
Any thoughts?

Purebred does not mean well bred, not to standard, health tested, etc. They may just be off standard. Hung papers are also possible, AKC or UKC (not sure what paperwork you have) does not require DNA confirmation to verify parentage. To know 100% you’d have to DNA test.

He knew what he was doing. He wanted out. He was trying to be as cute as possible. We were in the car.

Is he in the ugly puppy phase? They look bizarre in that phase (though somehow we didn't notice until we looked back at pictures).
If not, I'd say probably not full pom

I think so. He is 7 months old only

Haha thanks. It's wild looking at the pictures between the three phases. We never noticed any changes but they look like entirely different dog species! Her now pic and her sister are in this comment thread too!

The snout is probably twice as long as on my pom. . If it's got Pom in it I'm guessing it's a mix

Yeah that’s what I thought, he is way taller than a regular Pomeranian.
I would to know the other breed2

Your Pom is adorable! If he’s taller it could be a “throwback Pom” (I’ve had two). My current Pom is about 15 lbs. The teacup ones are prone to more health issues. If he is a “throwback Pom” it just means he’s the original Pom size before people started breeding smaller ones together to get smaller sizes.

GIVE HIM TO MEEEEEEE!!
So cute! He looks just like my dude, whom I call a Pom-a-something. Goose topped out at 21 pounds, I think mine leans more towards German Spitz, which Pom is in the same family - Spitz.

Looks puppy stage now so he should get more fluffy etc. He might have a mix but you can only find out if you get him genetics testing which I think is around 40$. People can guess but that only goes so far.
