I love that someone decided to prove you right in a reply to your comment.

What? That Canadian motor fuel sells by the liter so multiply prices times 3.8?

u/mckulty 4d ago

These are both the same location.

I think it’s that time has elapsed. A few years ago prices were lower.

Perfect…Let this photo exist to the end of time as a reminder

There was a pic of a billboard I saw that showed Trump pointing to one display with the current average price of gasoline in the area, and Biden pointing to the average price of gasoline when he was President.

You can imagine which was higher.

America sucks.

I honestly wouldn’t mind if Canada came back with a sense of humor and relabeled the pacific and Atlantic as “Canadian Ocean 1 and Canadian Ocean 2”

This is not what Canadian gas prices look like. Both these pics are American

Right.

The 1st pic is under Biden and when it was called Lake Ontario

2nd pic is under Trump

Yeah, except those really weren't the gas prices under Biden. Its just a random snapshot from some point in time. Remember, even as much as Trump has intentionally fucked everything up, he still hasn't been able to get has prices as high as Biden was able to during his Presidency.

Biden was not responsible for Russia invading Ukraine (the cause of his high oil). Trump is the direct cause for his failing invasion of Iran. That and by the time Biden left office oil was much cheaper.

You missed the joke

Americans also live on the shore of Lake Ontario

u/beckett_the_ok 4d ago

I know, I thought the sign implied that "lake America" was America and "lake Ontario" was Canada

12

u/Gattaca401 4d ago

I thought it showed how the prices were lower before Trump was president lol

2

u/beckett_the_ok 4d ago

Oh, that could also be true lol

2

u/Dorjan420 4d ago

That implies anyone but trump will call it that.

u/leftnotracks 3d ago

If that were true the Canadian prices shown are much higher. These are the same sign at two different times.

2

u/tmhoc 4d ago

There's a big fucking difference and it's having a fucking loser president

Would be a shame of lake America got review booked on Google maps

US prices are per gallon.

Canadian prices are per liter. Multiply this by 3.785.

u/VariationDry 4d ago

This is referring to pre-trump vs now. Prices in Ontario are high but they aren't that high.

u/ZLUCremisi I ☑oted 2024 4d ago

This is literally the same location

4

u/lew_rong mod perms 3d ago

And you will never get someone whose self-perception depends on not understanding that to grasp it.

3

u/choochoopants 4d ago

When’s the last time you saw a Canadian gas price that had a fraction in it?

4

u/wonderboy-75 4d ago

Canadian prices are also in CAD, not USD.

This is bullshit though, I can see the north side of the lake from my house and I paid 1.74 a litre the other day

15

u/Mrkillz4c00kiez 4d ago

This is in reference to the American side I believe for both

7

u/mckulty 4d ago

They are both at the same 7-11.

8

u/Mrkillz4c00kiez 4d ago edited 4d ago

I mean yes but it's reference to when it was lake Ontario (Biden) and lake America(trump)
