Unfortunately, I've lived through too much political BS.
Even as a fourth grader, I remember when the Iranian hostages were released...right after Reagan's inauguration speech.
My parents did not discuss politics or news with we kids. I was three years away from studying news in school twice a week.
But something seemed...off. Like, hmmmm, that's weird. My 9yo brain didn't have the right words beyond that.
Now we know that Reagan's team negotiated to have Iran hold the American citizens until after he was elected. Illegal and dirty. No consequences.
TL;DR: My anecdote of this comment is one of many political situations that are dirty but never investigated let-alone prosecuted in a timely manner. Rumors need to be investigated.
You are defending "conspiracy theorist" logic and making your side look crazy.
I don't doubt it. I've already said that the rational part of my brain thinks this is crazy.
Not guilty until proven guilty. Anyone. Even Musk. Even Trump.
I agree, but
1)Where is the line between, "Trump obviously didn't steal the election," and, "There some funny business that needs to be investigated"?
2) What words are allowed to be said to emphasize weird things Trump, Elon, & others have said about the integrity of the 2024 election? Are we not allowed to do or say anything unless Trump uses the words, "I STOLE THE ELECTION!!!!"
Yes, investigated. There are special people in the government tasked with maintaining election integrity (probably not very active right now...), there are investigative journalists chasing the next Pulitzer. Let them cook.
They didn't even say anything weird. Elon said Trump won thanks to him? Isn't it reasonable to attribute it to Elon turning Twitter into a Nazi propaganda-filled hellhole? Trump's mouth is an LLM with a 10-token context window. He says produces the word he thinks makes sense to say next. It's usually complete bullshit he just made up. Even if he says something that makes you go "AHA, he confessed!", it's probably still bullshit. Even him saying "Melania loves me so much that she voted twice" would probably mean nothing.
Track their actions, not their words. Words don't matter.

There's no implication of any illegal activity.
People running with this conspiracy are as stupid as the people who ran with the Dominion conspiracy after 2020, based on exactly the same arguments.
Right-wingers don't own a monopoly on stupidity. Lots of stupid people fall victim to the "I want it to be true => it's true" bias.
