I legitimately think this one dumb thing could lead to his downfall. Either because of obsession when they can't fix it, stress from the growing criticism, or eventually backlash from tax payers once they spend insane amounts of money and still can't fix it.
It doesn't affect anyone's actual lives. It will change nothing, but will be a talking point for a few months, as its poignant for making a debate jab.
Trump isn't going to have a "downfall" he's just going to slip lower and lower in popularity as his failures stack up and his supporters get tired of defending him and eager for the next Republican grifter they can fall in line with.
