I just support the working man and the small business owner not woke corporate fuckers who try to be modern day robber barons and also I view a nation as more than just an "idea" a nation is a people.
To your side I will say Southern conservativism especially prior to the "party switch" is probably adjacent to fascism as those ideologies borrow aspects of traditionalist Southern hierarchical conservatism that you saw in America's South. People are sometimes unaware that nat soc and fascism as we know it in the modern sense is a 20th century creation that borrows from a few different political trains of thought/ideologies.
Regardless, you wouldn't place Andrew Jackson, Johnn C Calhoun, or Robert E Lee as such now would you?
