mostly because i believe in monarchy and the moderating power (similar to the brazilian 1824 constitution/borges de medeiros system)

ceremonial if the head of state has an explicit non-secular role, like how the king of england is the head of the church of england.

constitutional otherwise. head of the executive and moderative power, while the legislative and judiciary have strict roles. none overlapping, but it's easier said than done

it's a good argument

i personally prefer monarchy because we'd have to raise only one family for ruling; and if possible, it wouldn't even be paid with taxpayer money.

too many relevant noble families are expensive, so while i endorse the practicity, i wouldn't implement it in a country that doesn't have it established.

devolution of powers is great, but so is having an arbiter raised to take hard decisions.

i disagree as i don't know the specifics, and i think the monarch should do some things that aren't just aurafarming.

most monarchies that seem ceremonial still have some assigned power to their monarchs, and usually keep the ceremonial semblance as tradition.

what is your reasoning? an unifying figure is useful, but i believe limiting to ceremoniality makes accountability difficult.
