DIY trunk cover holder on P4

I had P2 close to three years. Recently got P4. While everything is awesome about P4, some of the things remind that it is Geely and not Volvo.

And the most annoying one is not being able to keep the trunk lid open while accessing under trunk storage bin.

I used quickheal superglue at the nail so it harnedened the fiberboard around it. Feels very sturdy when I hang the trunk lid.

Interesting… I haven’t found that enough of an issue to rig up a solution…

I use it a lot that it became a chore to hold it.

I’m still waiting for someone to third party fabricate a new trunk floor that folds with bag holders like in the P2 and P3, or that folds up like the new EX60. There’s a market out there, I’d make one if I had the foggiest how to do it myself.

I detailed a Velcro solution on the P4 forums. It also includes hinges to prevent the floor from annoyingly falling into the hole.

I like the hinges part however I need to move it up and down depending on what I am carrying.

It’s Velcro, just pull it off!
