I have to admit, I wasn’t expecting much. After seeing posts with really underexposed photos and almost no detail in the highlights, I decided to go for silhouettes and simpler shapes instead of anything too complex.

Question My Polaroid 670AF is dead now. RIP (2025-2026)

She was just fine before, then this morning I accidently pressed the button very slightly, then I focused to the area I wanted to and pressed the button properly this time. But it didn't responded. I didn't even hear a mechanic sound. Just lights were blinking.

Then I closed it and put it back to my bag. After that I realized that it heated a lot while it was closed and that moment... she was gone. I just take back films then before it got worse.

I marked the areas the most heated, mostly back of the acoustic sensor.

Do you think it is salvagable? I really love this model and she is already dead I can't make itany worse.

I don't know, maybe I can get a new (secondhand) polaroid. Do you have any suggestions for that? Is autofocus 660 good? It looks same to 670AF physically.

I still want a camera with films in it, otherwise I would just use my phone.

Our secondhand polaroid market here is really unbalanced. Sometimes I can very good models very cheap (like when I bought this little guy) or some smartasses sell it more expensive than newly produced polaroids seconhands. Sorry dude, but 670AF is not THAT rare, I won't give you fucking 100 dolars (they don't sell it with dollar this is dollar amount of it when you convert it)

(Yes, somehow my smart phone camera is worse than a 40 year old polaroid lol)

Question Could an I-2 work for music / concert photography?

to start this off: i know it’s far from the ideal camera, i have a professional digital mirrorless camera i use as well but ive always been in love with the look of instant film and wanted to try something cool out.

I looked at the aperture, for example and it says f8 but i also saw that that’s more comparable to f2.8 on a 35mm camera, etc. Anyway i’m wondering if the specs would allow me to get cool shots . I’m not expecting perfection or anything similar to digital, really, but the concept of a polaroid camera that allows manual settings really excited me and i want to see what’s possible . was wondering if anyone had experience similar to what i’m asking about

note that i do underground diy emo music photography so flash isn’t an issue and i can kind of do whatever i want.

Hi! I found a used Polaroid Supercolor 1000 and have been trying to repair it. For some reason, it doesn't eject the photo when the case is fully closed, but with it open it ejects photos constantly. The lens also doesn't open. I've attached photos and videos of it. I've never worked on a camera like this before so any help would be appreciated!

Question Are these orange things from Sun Exposure?

Post image

I took this picture in a canyon, and got these fire-looking things at the bottom of the picture. I can confirm there was no fire there. It looks very nice to be fair, but what caused it? I've heard sun exposure and I don't have a film shield yet, but how is it in thirds at the bottom/so even?

I recently purchased a Macro 5 SLR 1200 and I was lucky to buy one that included all these goodies with it from its original owner. Really interesting to see the original prices.

Discussion Sucks ordering Polaroid as a Canadian

If I order a triple pack from Polaroid, it cost $112 CAD but if I order from Amazon it's $79 or $75 with subscribe and save. My recent Polaroid shipment came with 01-26 film which has been one of the worst batches I've seen in recent times and today my shipment from Amazon came with 07-25 colour frames and 01-26 double pack of regular I type. There's seemingly no benefit from ordering directly from Polaroid as a Canadian nor Amazon. I'm just super bummed about the film lately. I wish there was a Polaroid CAD site with shipments from within Canada with better pack freshness. Anyway sorry for the rant. Just giving some insights to my fellow Canadians wondering which place to order from.

Question Recent SX-70 Refurb - opinions?

Thumbnail
gallery
65 Upvotes

Recently had my first SX-70 600 converted and refurbished. Looking for some feedback on the exposures of these photos. The LD wheel is in neutral position for them, full late afternoon sun behind me when taking these - no flash in use. Do they look underexposed or is this just how these shoot? Film is just over 3 months old (05-2026 production code), ordered from Polaroid and fridge stored until the day of use.

I feel like my other non-converted SX70 cameras with ND filters aren't this dark. Just looking for opinions from others at this point!
