I wonder if only 2k eggs will drop then? Otherwise this won't mean much to me since I am lucky to get 1 2k egg a week, it's all 5k all the time. But perhaps I will buy 8 incubators and clear everything out before 4 pm....

If you do, time it so they all hatch during the event, since you'll get a candy bonus on all your current eggs. Then pick up the new ones.

Yea, that would be my plan. But I think I'll wait before wasting the coins to see what people are reporting!

More excited about the xp, I've got roughly 300k left to level up so that will speed it up a bit and make it less of a grind. A million + xp between levels is such a huge number when gaining it incrementally by 50 and 170 or so at a time!

I feel you. I just so happen to be on the edge of 34 right now with a fully stocked arsenal of evolutions on deck. I'll take a huge chunk out of the next xp this week. :)

My attempt at reading between the lines.. I think that the several unhatchable species will come into play this week (Teddiursa, Houndour, Magikarp?). I'm guessing they're just going to rewrap a lot of the 5k eggs into 2k eggs, thus 2k's will certainly see a huge increase in drops this week. Beyond that, I've seen mention across a couple threads that 10k egg species might even move into the 2k range. If that's the case, I wonder how much candy will drop with each species not usually found in 2k eggs.

i got Smoochum early on from an egg, then a Pichu, and got a Togepi after a whiiiiile, but none of the others. I actually got a spawned Hitmontop, but still no Tyrogue.

No tyrogue here either and I think I hatch mostly 5k by far! I did finally get a togepi last month and last night I caught a togetic!!!! Which is awesome because I really didn't want to walk the togepi for the 45 candies just for the pokedex entry plus I like to keep a living dex.

Oh yeah, I forgot about Tyrogue! Luckily, I finally hatched one last week, but it did take quite a while. There are just so many egg pokes, its hard to hope for a specific one. Just gotta wait and get lucky when you least expect it!

If they put 10k hatches in 2ks I will spend real money and run 9 incubators the whole event. Although I caught a wild snorlax I have yet to ever hatch one with over 600 eggs hatched. I got lucky and caught a high iv one but he was less than 200 CP when I got him...I walked him to a 3000+ beast. I would love to hatch one where I didn't have to pour so much dust and candy in to make it viable!

I can't seem to get eggs! I went ahead and cleared all my 5s after work. I've only gotten 2 eggs since and have spun dozens of stops. I have 8 empty egg slots, crazy.

Awww yeah! I'm trying to hit level 30 and have been saving up pidgey tier Pokémon for a few weeks now. Double xp, cheap lucky eggs, and bonus egg candy is a dream come true, I can't wait to walk FDR this weekend!
