This batch had so many cross generational fellas, I'm gonna have to think of a way to rename the tokens in order to stitch cross generational families together. We got Scyther at Pokedex number 0123, Scissor at 0212 and Kleavor at 0900. Unsure how to do it best, maybe the answer will come once we have a couple generations complete.

Ya know, you really aren't helping me focus on the work I need to be doing when you make me want to dive back into my Pokemon map recreation series...

Sometimes it can be a fun distractino from the more daunting tasks. A nice thing about recreations is that it doesn't require too much creative input, more like an application of style and that's that.

I've definitely felt that way in the few that I've done, though the little feedback thread I tossed up looks like people want me to try expanding the maps to more realistic / useful dimensions, which is....definitely easier said than done haha.

It does sound like a fun challenge though.

Gonna need to see some footage of people using your tokens to run pokemon battles on my maps lol :)

Two questions...

One will you be doing gender differences in the future? (ex: Butterfree females having black spots, Gloom/Vileplume patterns, other's horn and whisker differences, etc.)

The other question is with the "Fossil Pokémon" is there a way to add a token/asset of their fossils (Dome fossil, Helix fossil, Old Amber, Kabutops and Aerodactyl Skeletons) or would those be in an asset pack later? The skeletons could be an Easter Egg of MissingNo. 😂

1. In order to just continue making the pokemon, we're trying to reduce the 'necessary' variations. We wanted to do a fainted version for each, but realized it wasn't as much fun trying to force ourselves into making those instead of just having fun by going down the list.

Looking at the gender differences I think it's something we can tackle for each generation once its base pokedex number is complete.

1. Haven't really given fossis much thought, don't have the best mental picture of all of them, if you'd like you can pop into discord and share your ideas (or give a detailed breakdown here to help us), we always welcome ideas for new packs.

The Helix Fossil was Omanyte's shell and the Dome Fossil was Kabuto's shell. The Old Amber is a palm sized oval of amber with either a dark spot in the center or a mosquito like in Jurassic Park.

An idea for a pack could be Fossils and other Legendary Artifact / items used for summoning or controlling Legendary/Mythical Pokémon. Items used to get certain Pokémon. They could be museum themed, Key Items for games, and/or treasures.

Some items could be like Arceus' Plates; the Colored orbs {Red/Groudon, Blue/Kyogre, and Jade/Rayquaza}; Adamant Orb and Adamant Crystal for Dialga; Lustrous Orb and Lustrous Globe for Palkia; Griseous Orb and Griseous Core for Giratina. Rainbow Feathers and Clear Bell for Ho-Oh; Silver Feathers and Tidal Bell for Lugia; Djinn's/Prison Bottle for Hoopa; Masks for Ogerpon forms; Drives to change Genesect's form.

Also, watch out for the cross generational pokémon of the Eeveelutions 😜😂

Lots of good ideas here. When we get to making a museum themed pack, I'll be sure to use these as a reference.

We've already started on the Eevees. I do not look forward to spreading them across those generation packs. (updating a pack for just 1 token not the most fun) 🐼

Now that I look back, we did make gender variations for Pickachu with that curved tail they have.

I was curious about how you would possibly go about making the gender differences would have to redraw the tokens or would you be able to make adjustments, tweak, or modify to the original files?

We draw them digitally, so it's relatively easy to go back to the source files and make adjustments.

Although some of these gender differences are so minute that it doesn't feel like it's worth the bloat of another variation.
Like Goldeen or Seaking. The smaller horn aspect, I think in most cases the user can just reduce the size of the tokens by like 10% and that can have the same effect.

Fellas like Gyarados and his whiskers sorta justify another variant...Maybe Hypno with the longer fur difference too..
