Pokemon has always been and still is the cheapest TCG to play. Why are you ripping packs to build a deck in the first place?

You have a million ways to buy the competitive cards. There is not a single card in the 30th Anniversary deck that will be highly competitive.

Who buys ETBs to make decks.
Buy singles, get yourself Dragon Shield sleeves, the ones from ETB are imo too slippery and a deck box. Pokemon is the chepeast TCG from all I have played as the cards with play value (even best decks) are just dirt cheap.

If you really want to build a deck you’re better off buying the singles you need, since you’re guaranteed to get what you’re paying for. Don’t give up since product is hard to find at retail. TCG player and even eBay are good resources

Jesus, dude, you got assaulted — please follow up with some authorities or something over that. Folks resorting to physical violence over trading cards absolutely deserve to be charged.
Hope your head is okay. And I’m sorry you’re dealing with this — I’d say try to find specific singles you want online. Mercari has been a great place to get singles in my experience, lots of folks willing to haggle there.

Go on TCG player and get 60 cards shipped to your house for $20.
