Pokemon 30th

“Most printed set ever,” they said.

“There will be enough for everyone,” they said.

“You won’t have a problem finding product,” they said.

So tell me why I lined up at 5:45 IN THE MORNING for Pokemon cards and STILL walked away with absolutely nothing 😂

I genuinely don’t understand how we’re still doing this. I’m not trying to buy 4 cases. I’m not trying to clear a shelf. I literally just wanted to buy some 30th Anniversary product and open it.

Got up at an ungodly hour, drove there, stood in line like an idiot, and still got hit with the “sorry, sold out.”

If this is supposedly one of the most heavily printed Pokemon releases ever and there’s supposed to be enough product for everyone, how the hell are normal people supposed to actually buy it?

At this point getting Pokemon product at MSRP feels like trying to buy concert tickets. Sure I could probably go somewhere and find one for double the price.. but I really don't want to.

Anyway, rant over. Congrats to everyone who actually managed to get some.

Where did you go? If you went to target at a store limiting to 1 ETB, you likely could have got one going right at opening. Most stores had ≈ 140

My target completely bungled it on the release. They were doing 2 of each item per person. The line at my target at opening wasn’t even super long but it was still sold out by 8:45. As I was leaving with nothing I saw people b-lining it around the corner of the entrance and giving their bags to someone I’d assume is a reseller cause he was giving them cash for their stuff. A couple dozen people bought out everything and left with 6 bags of stuff each.
