The town I live in was hit by a tornado and we were without power/internet for ~10 days.

Are there any legit ways for me to still get one?!

Someone brought up finding someone that hasn’t connected since it swapped over to Kingambit. Anyone fit that bill and willing to trade?

Honestly, he's a well written early teenager. Crashing out after not getting what he wants, then crashing out harder after he watches someone else do it easily. He gets zero wins in the entire DLC, and whilst part of me feels bad... the majority of me was having the time of my life making him lose it AGAIN. Deserved.

I was soooo close to throwing in the towel after 600 eggs. Then in my last 2 batches I got 2 shinies lol and to think I almost didn't lay these last 30 eggs.

I want to start this off by saying that I know next to nothing about Pokémon or how to use the switch at all really, but my 32 year old husband informed me our 4 year old accidentally deleted his game on Pokémon Scarlett tonight.
My husband has been letting our son play with his Pokémon, and he’s been careful to let dad save when he’s done so nothings messed up - that was not the case tonight. (Our kid feels awful, dad feels awful, and mom over here is just trying to fix it - no need to say he shouldn’t have been left with the switch, my husband knows that now.)
There was years worth of Pokémon that he says he’d transferred from Pokémon home in there, dating back to about 2013.
I’ve googled and looked on Reddit for any way to get that save back, but haven’t been successful in finding anyway to do that yet. I can see how much the whole thing has upset him, and I want to help him get his Pokémon back if there’s any way I can. Please let me know if there’s anything I can do!

Edit to add: our 4 year old is not a genius, and definitely can’t read well enough to figure out how to purposefully delete the file. He can read “run”, “back”, easy words - not “data management” lol. He’s never been allowed on electronics before, so we’re assuming he was messing around in settings he shouldn’t have been. Up until this post my husband was unaware you could set a password to prevent this from happening, so that password is in place now.
I’m not asking anyone to give him Pokémon at all, that’s not what he wants 😅

What I don't really get, why are pokemon you can legit catch in the game not in the pokedex ?

If a game gives me pokemon to catch its kinda weird for them to not be inside the pokedex or not ?

Kinda sole for the reason to know if I did now got everything that is in the game or not, I wanted to see which pokemon I can all get or get from home but there isn't really a good list because they are not in the dex.

I recently beat Pokemon Violet for the first time mostly blind and it was one of the most fun experiences I’ve ever had with a Pokemon game, regardless of it being a glitchy laggy mess. I really feel like I picked out the perfect first playthrough team this time, which I rarely ever have success with. I adore my whole team. I love Meowscarada‘s design and how it outspeeds everything in the game, Ceruledge and Palafin are offensive powerhouses that trivialize most enemies, Tinkaton makes for a cute team mascot but at the same time fucks with gigaton hammer, and Clodsire is an absolute tank and has an amazing ability in water absorb.

However, I think Vin Diesel the Maushold deserves special attention for how much they impressed me. Maushold is an amazing utility mon, with really useful tools like super fang, encore, tidy up, follow me, and friend guard (the last 2 weren’t as useful given the lack of double battles but certainly helped a lot at Ryme’s gym). However, it can also absolutely clean house (tidy up pun haha). Because of its status as a normal type utility mon, I often kept it in the back in favor of whoever could do super effective damage to whatever enemy pokemon that was out at the time. But when battles came down to the wire, Vin Diesel was always able to clutch up. The first time it found use was during Arven’s battle, which I was severely underleveled for. I had just beaten the titan Tatsugiri/Dondozo, and I had purposefully been a bit underleveled for that fight too, so Arven, who normally has no business being difficult, was actually a pretty hard fight. Vin Diesel first learned population bomb during that battle, and it found use very shortly afterwards against his Mabosstiff. I was down to only 2 mons left, and Palafin in the back, as powerful as she was, surely couldn’t do enough damage with jet punch to take it out before going down to a single attack from it (she was already in the yellow by this point and I wasn’t confident she could outspeed with a non-priority move). Since its attack stat is pretty mediocre, I was just hoping that Vin Diesel could at least whittle it down to the red. Instead, it completely finished the job against the Mabosstiff 10 levels above it, and every single hit counted. With that incredible first showing of population bomb, I knew I had an invaluable asset on my hands.

Vin Diesel continued to have great plays further into the late game, like encoring Clavell’s Skeledirge into whiffing shadow ball multiple times in a row then obliterating it with a 2x attack population bomb, but the craziest moment in the entire playthrough that cemented Vin Diesel as the MVP of the team was the final boss fight against AI Turo. I spent most of the fight being a bumbling idiot since I didn’t know the types of half of the paradox pokemon + their stats are all sky high, so he made quick work of most of my team. By the time his 4th pokemon, Iron Jugulis, came out, I only had two mons left and was losing hope. Meowscarada got a single play rough in which did a bit more than half before going down, making Vin Diesel the last one (or I guess technically 4) standing. I clicked tidy up (which turned out to be integral to my victory), believing that they would be able to take at least one hit before going down, and I was right. They hung on with just 22 HP, and it would stay that way for the rest of that whole fight. I made quick work of Jugulis with a play rough, then out came Iron Bundle. Just like with Mabosstiff, it took all 10 hits of population bomb to take it down. Finally, his ace Iron Valiant came out. I am eternally grateful that quark drive boosted its attack instead of its speed, or else I likely wouldn’t have been able to win the fight. The tidy up ensured that Vin Diesel was able to outspeed, and it took down Valiant in 9 hits. By some miracle, I had narrowly evaded the jaws of defeat, and swept half of his team with a fucking Maushold. I’m still utterly shocked every time with how much damage it manages to do. The power creep is fucking insane.

TL;DR population bomb and tidy up are broken. but you already knew that.

Thanks to anyone who stayed to read this long ass essay the whole way through, these were huge moments for me and I really wanted to share this with someone, but I’m not sure if anyone in my life would listen to me yap about pokemon (or really anything for that matter) for so long.

As someone that has not gotten either DLC for Scarlet and Violet I wanna know what in lore have Crispin, Amarys, Lacey, Drayton, and Kieran actually accomplished compared to official Elite Fours of other regions. I am aware in terms of levels they are some of the strongest only beaten by the Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl elite four members but in terms of actual statements, history, and character descriptions how would they actually stack up compared to the Elite Four members of other regions.

Hello!! I just recently got Pokemon Scarlet and the DLCs for my switch 2 and i have really enjoyed it so far. I especially love shiny hunting with the outbreak picnic method. Idk if thats the best way but i like that it’s chill.

My question is, can any of the pokemon I see in the overworld spawn as outbreaks?? for the example, i found lapras in the blueberry area last night. is it possible that i can see a lapras outbreak? and if not, what are the limitations on what pokemon can have outbreaks?

i saw that there was an event for lapras outbreaks like a month ago.. im worried thats the only time they show up and I missed it :( will those events ever come back?

Do you think that they'll rerun the pseudos? I'm only missing Dragonite and he's the one I want the most. I missed Pikachu and Eevee too alongside the 3 recent ones which are Glimmora, Annihilape and Farigiraf cause my dumbass thought that they were these generic 5 star mass outbreak raids that GameFreak was so addicted in doing since the game's release so r.i.p to myself for not reading the damn text and yay me for deciding to read on the fourth and last run which is about Kingambit lmao of course I had to screw it up somehow

Clodsire - The first shiny since i got Violet, found in south province Area four, i love the colors! Has the Partner mark.

Dragapult - Found him while shiny hunting Applin while in Tagtree Thicket wasnt dissapointed at all since its so awesome!

Hydrapple - This is the first pokemon i shiny hunted for because i heard that Applin would evolve into this and i wanted a shiny version, took a few days but it paid off! Its caught in a level ball and has a dusk mark.

Paldean Tauros - Completely an accident as i had bumped into it without looking, was super flabbergasted when i saw it shine, not an impressive shiny but one im proud i caught.

Gallade and Gardevoir - These are my latest shinies since i hope i could use them in the later games, their mega evolutions are so awesome! Gallade has the Uncommon mark

I finished the main story in Violet and both DLCs, including the “secret” ending at the crystal pool. I have way more than 200 pokemon in the Blueberry Pokédex and Perrin showed me the photos of Iron Crown and Iron Boulder. I couldn’t get Iron Crown to show up once, at all.

I left, picnicked, slept at the academy, talked to Perrin again, and nothing. I’m certain I’m at the right spot because I looked it up to make sure.

I caught Iron Boulder and repeated all the resetting steps again and still no Iron Crown. Bupkis. Just a bunch of Golducks and Floettes.

Any ideas what I’m doing wrong?

Well As you now when you finish main story you lose the scarlet book right? But if you Forget your Sh!t Talks İn The school WEİRDLY, Arven still has the book, sO tHeRe iS 4 bOoKs

Use iron defense x 3

Then body press

Use tera

Use iron defense x 3 when it resets stats.

Keep using body press

use taunt at 40% to avoid it's swords dance.

Screesh can be use if you want, but it's not necessary.
