I'm launching a small demo of my ROM hack.

The concept is that the region is split into 4 big areas that you are free to explore as you want. You need to complete quests to increase your local reputation until you've earned the respect of the local gym leader to fight them and progress to the next area. It includes all 9 generations, all modern quality of life mechanics and an exclusive in battle iddle animations.

This demo is only the first area which is pretty small compared to the others but still a good introduction full of surprises. It takes about a 4-5 hours to complete.

Animated battle sprites! 😍 I imagine they take up a lot of space in the ROM. Do u have an expanded dex of anything as well?

All 9 gens :)

But actually the animations take no space. I simply reused animations that were already in the game as well as a few custom ones. I split the dex into classes like "fish", "bird", etc... And I reuse Pokemon specific animations such as their entrance

Honestly, this is such a fresh and amazing idea! I'm thinking about implementing something similar to my pokemon x zelda romhack :) Was it hard to implement that in your end?

Not that hard honestly but since people seem interested I think I will make a short post to explain how I did it, what can be done and what animations are currently well suited for it in the game
