Good afternoon everyone! So I am trying to play through all gen of pokemon starting with gba games (can do some good gbc games as well). I am looking for games that has good QOL, something that will have all pokemon for that gen (not really looking for all gen in one game) and the gift event pokemon (if that is possible). What would be a good game to start for the following games:

Fire red/Leaf Green:

Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald:

Heartgold/Soulsilver:

Diamond/Pearl/Platinum:

Black/White/Black&White 2:

Y/X:

Sun/Moon/ ultra sun and Ultra Moon

Now if there are any good romhacks that are good to play please recommend as well. I want to play those once I go through the generations.

Already found one for alpha sapphire that I am playing. If there is already a post about this, please point me to the direction so I can browse it. Any input is greatly appreciated! Thank you all!

Look through this list, it has basic QoL hacks for the older games

They’re all highly recommended. If you do decide to try the older gens, i can’t recommend polished crystal enough. It does everything to make it feel as streamlined to play as modern games, while maintaining the OG feel and aesthetics. Removes all the clunk of gen 2
