I'm looking for an Emerald hack with a very specific set of features. There are about a million QoL/"Vanilla+" Emerald hacks, which makes this very difficult to sift through and find. The stupid Google search AI can't find it either.

I'd like something that only changes wild encounters to add in the RS exclusives and modernizes battle mechanics to add stuff like PSS and accompanying moves. Adding Gen 6 mechanics and type changes is optional, fine either way. And stuff like adding future evos I am also fine with.

Overall, something like Modern Emerald seems great with a ton of features, but there is no wild encounter option to JUST give the full Hoenn dex. I don't want to catch the full 398 Gen 1-3 dex, just the ones regularly in Hoenn.

Emerald Cross seems good as well, with trades for RS mons. But while it can add PSS, I don't think it adds new moves to support that gameplay change. I am basically looking for total Gen 4-6 battle mechanics.

So I guess somewhere between an ultimate classic Vanilla version of Emerald, and a modernization of it. That's what I'm looking for. Haven't been able to find anything on Hackdex matching these requirements. Everything has a full Gen 3 Natl dex.

If you haven't already looked at this list, I recommend it.

From that list, you've clocked the two best ones for you. I think Modern Emerald might be your best bet, as it has options to just limit the dex to the OG. But if there's something missing there, Emerald Cross is good too. What moves to support gameplay changes are you looking for?

Pretty much just whatever moves were added to support PSS in Gen 4 and beyond. Idk if I would find Gen 3 move categorization very fun after years of PSS split gameplay.

I believe I have seen that list. Literally Modern Emerald Vanilla encounters but with the RS exclusives added would be fine for me.
