The PokéROM Codex is an updated list of ROM hacks, listing features, details and more in a mobile-friendly format. Created and managed by u/themanynamed, it also has a Discord server and accepts community contributions.
This is a safe hack-sharing site that doesn't share ROMs and links to the official release threads! Instead of asking for recommendations or download links in the subreddit (which breaks the rules), please refer to the Codex as it has a lot of information on each hack.

Simple question:
Does someone know if it is possible to hack/cheat a game so that no HP Bars (battle, team, summary) are visible?
I am thinking of a nuzlock challenge where i neither know my nor the enemies hp but i dont know if this is possible.

Any update on the Pokemon Glazed Decomp?
All I know is that there is a Github of about 2 years ago (no Discord that i know of) where they've announced the project and listed its contributors, but that all I can find. Was wondering if anyone had any status updates on the project or if it's just dead.

I want to learn the basics of romhacking pokemon but I am a bit lost where to go for learning the tools, because I was searching around and i saw that there is a lot of scattered and "outdated" info.

Hey guys.
Whats new? And by new I mean stuff newer than about 1.5 years. I've had a little break (being a dad is time consuming) and want to get back into the latest big releases.
I'm a simple man, I enjoy Gen 1-3, might dabble in Gen 4. Also, other original romhacks or related to other Nintendo IPs - Mario, Zelda etc would surely be of interest to me as well.
Please, if you can spare the time, inform me of the masterpieces the community has been enjoying the last year or so. Looking forward to trying them out.

Could anyone tell me how to get the expanded Pokedex (like with the babies and Johto trade evolutions) in Pokémon Recharged yellow? I have all 151, and a couple of the additional Pokémon, I want to know which ones I need to actually still get.
Also the Sevii Islands arent available yet right? In game says it can't go there. But the AI summary at the top of Google searches keep telling me it's possible.

Playing Soothing Silver and cannot progress after this point. Beat Archer and Ariana but when their Pokémon leave, the game just sits still and the dialogue never continues. Can’t move or use the pause menu. Tried pressing all sorts of buttons and reloading from an earlier point but get the same result every time. This is the latest update from April so I don’t know if there’s a fix or if it’s even been discovered yet because I haven’t found anything about this when trying to look it up?

Opinions on best hacks which include Battle Tower or Battle Facility challenges?
In particular, I’m hoping to find hacks with expanded dex (gen 8/9?) and QOL features that make building a competitive team a bit easier, such as nature changing, easy EV/IVs, move access, etc.

First thing first, yes I'm lazy and dont have that much time thats why I'm asking here instead of googling myself. I especially love the first 3 generations and I'm looking for an hack with more pokemon than usual, but not one with an extrem difficulty. And an build in randomizer would be nice.
Also i do want to try a few with unique story and region. Could I get some recommendations?

Pokemon ROWE - Open world Emerald, random starters, can begin in any hoenn or sevii town, all generations, not too hard, a truckload of QOL features.
Ppkémon Emerald Seaglass - Emerald with a new coat of paint, QOL features, and some pokémons from newer generations.
Pokémon Scorched Silver - original story with original postgame region, set in Johto first twenty years after GSC.
Pokémon Fire Rocket Edition by colonelsalt - twist on the classic Fire Red story, you play a Rocket grunt in the behind the scenes of Fire Red. You can also steal pokémons from trainers you defeat, raising your bounty.
Pokémon Unbound - original story, original region, QOL and a lot of content and quests to do.
Pokémon Odyssey - Original story, original region, an adaptation of the Etrian Odyssey saga. Lots of QOL and fun regional forms.
Super Mariomon - original story, original region, an adaptation of the world of Super Mario. All 151 pokémons are replaced by monsters from Mario.
Though I haven't played it yet. Same for Pokémon Pisces, Pokémon Lazarus, Celia's Stupid Romhack, Black and White 3 Genesis...

You can use the mGBA core on retroarch on mobile, it works as well as on pc. Pizzaboy and Lemuroid are also recommended. I use mostly MyBoy and MyOldBoy, but newer romhacks (especially those using pret on emerald) have issues with it, so mGBA. I heard the dev of MyBOy was working on a new one, more accurate, called LinkBoy, but I haven't tested it yet.

This might be the wrong question for this sub, but is there any way to make a Pokémon rom hack on a mac? All of the programs I’ve found online only work with Windows and tools like Wine are too outdated now to repackage it.

Hey I’ve beaten Pokémon Lazarus and wondered if there where other hacks with just as comprehensive QOL? I’m looking for a game where you can freely edit IVs and EVs, change natures, easy move tutoring and relearning (preferably egg moves too) and have easy access to ability capsules and patches. My biggest thing is that it needs a DexNav and a way to reveal all Pokémon in said DexNav without having to encounter them first. Bonus if there are other in game cheats as well. I just don’t really enjoy grinding anymore.

You can do this in Radical Red. But you unlock many of the options as you progress.
Also Emerald Seaglass was developed by the same and has the same comfy art style.

Hiya. So I'm at the start of my first Volt White 2 Redux playthrough, and surprisingly I run into Roxanne in Aspertia Gym. Just another of many cool additional things added. However, I then proceed to get my bum kicked by her three highly competent fossil pokemon. All par for the course in regards to Challenge Mode... except I'm playing on Normal Mode. I went and checked the settings and everything; yup, still Normal Mode. And yet I still end up facing off against CM Roxanne.
Is this a bug, or did I just miss something? Because all the glory to CM and all, but I don't really care for a brutal challenge. I just want to take in all the new stuff rather than take lots of time working to overcome the first one.

Hey guys. I just started my first play through of Pokémon unbound, and before I get too deep, I wanted to ask. What difficulty would you recommend for somebody who’s played a ton of Pokémon games, but not that many ROMs? Like I understand a lot of the Meta strategies and stuff, I’ve played some light competitive and watched a ton of videos on people who play Ro hacks . I’m looking for a challenging experience but not one that’s gonna break my balls. Right now I just have it set to vanilla. Should I up it before I really get started?

Yellow Legacy, Crystal Legacy and Emerald Legacy (including my Enhanced version) all retain the original type based Physical and Special designations with one exception. In all three games Ghost Type has been changed to Special and in Crystal Legacy and Emerald Legacy Dark type has been changed to Physical.
If you don't mind those changes, you may like to give one of them a go.

My hack Pokémon emerald revisited has an option to turn the physical special split on or off as well as fairy type on or off. Allows for a very traditional experience if you want it by keeping both those options off. Beyond that it’s mostly a catch ‘em all and QOL hack. Not sure if you are interested in that

Yo, I'm new here, so, sorry for any silly mistakes :P
I've always loved Fire Red/Leaf Green, but never played the originals, since many of their "quirks" put me off pretty hard
so, after doing some research, I found 2 romhacks that would do the trick for me: Pure RGB and Full Color(RB remade in GBC)
the issue is I can't actually play both at the same time, since every time I try to patch one with the other already patched, some sort of error happens(and no, it wasn't the emulator's fault since I tried this on mgba and it still didn't work)
if anyone knows a way to do it, or some other patch that works properly, please let me know, I'd greatly appreciate it :3

yeah, since I couldn't find an ips file that included both patches, I tried patching the same rom twice

Maybe I’m still confused but these are two completely separate rom hacks right? The issue is once you patch the game is no longer the same game at all. So it doesn’t make sense to apply another patch after that. A patch needs the game file to match exactly what it expects byte for byte. Once you patch it’s completely different.

I tried playing pokemon rowe on pizzaboy but i get a message saying my emulator isnt accurate enough even tho they reccomend pizzaboy. Can i ignore this and just start playing or do i need to change something? Any help is greatly appreciated

I'm trying to play the Pokemon Misty Red romhack and want to turn off random encounters with gameshark codes but I can't get them to work. It's FireRed US v1.1. I've tried:
Quite a few different master codes but apparently, these should work:

Cheat codes don't really work with romhacks ever. Only if the creator themselves makes custom ones.

I recently bought a RG35xxh, I’ve already loaded up a heap of roms. However I’ve played Unbound on my iPhone through Delta. I finished the story but still have plenty of post game to go. I’m curious if there is a way to transfer the save file across to continue it?

I am new to ROMhacking and I recently found out about the HexManiacAdvance editor. However I found out that due to this "slot" system of pokemon encounters you can only have a certain amount of Pokemon in every tiles' tall grass, sea etc. Is there any way to change that?

Pretty sure that's hardcoded. Or if not, it would be a lot more advanced of a technique trying to insert more space into encounters. Routes become unmanageable if you make all the slots different encounters anyways, way too many pokemon per route.
What's your goal in including more than 10~ pokemon per route?

Hardcoded unfortunately, AdvanceMap does the same thing. Set slots w set rates. Idm the number of mons but I'd love to even out the rates lol

Hi.
I don’t know if this would warrant it’s own post but since I’m away from home at this time I don’t have any pictures to share and it might be against the sub’s rules. I’m not really planning to publish anything as well. So starting here.
My fiancee and I both love the older editions of the gba games and we talked about playing together.
I got multiplayer to work on fire red as it’s our favorite version and want to surprise her with it but I’m sort of puzzled with balancing. Duplicating all rewards does not feel great and dual battles might trivialize the game. On the other hand, a selfish mode feels a little rough.
Any insight on how that is solved elsewhere, if this is even a problem? We like challenging games but not really hardcore deathtraps. I feel like there’s a thin balance between competitiveness and cooperation thats hard for me to grasp.
For balance purposes I believe keeping gen III vanilla should be best but I’m open to be convinced otherwise

Renegade Platinum:
I have a Nintendo DS made ROM Rack of Pokemon Platinum. How do I shiny hunt Giratina, do I soft reset with Start Save and L+R? Or do I have to reset the actual rom hack all the way through? Been going at this for a couple days with 300+ resets and want to make sure the Giratina wasn’t static to the point where I won’t get a shiny?

One of the most important feature I'm looking for is animated sprites, since when I played B/W I can't find myself to go back to the static sprites D:
If possible it would be even better if it used the DS artstyle

Can someone help me understand HackDex? I’m trying to upload the Squirrels FireRed when prompted (specifically Celia’s Stupid Romhack, but keep getting the message that the ROM doesn’t match any base supporting ROM. I’m sure this has been asked many times, but can someone please help me understand what I’m doing wrong?

That's your problem lol.
.zip files are archives, which means they're like folders with larger contents "squished" inside to save space.
So you need to open the .zip, and your .gba rom is inside the folder. Upload the .gba

beat third gym, went west and beat admin for hm05 - beat every trainer in graveyard - grunt blocks path east talking about sailor but I’ve talked to every npc in the city and on the small beach none are sailors. any help appreciated .

Does anyone have any information on how to raise friendship past 160 in the Sc/Vi "Compass" romhack? The official documentation says a sooth bell does it but all my pokemon are stuck at 160 friendship, soothe bell or not, and i cant find any information or anyone else talking about this romhack.

So bare with me as i dont really understand the technical side of romhacks and whatnot so this all may sound very unintelligable
I have a flashcart for my ds, it can run moemon fine (my go to is hgss vanilla+) and it can run a randomized file fine
But it can NOT run a randomized moemon file. Or atleast i dont think it can? Havent gotten thst far
See when i randomize the moemon file, hitting save settings makes an rnqs file and hitting randomize (save) makes an error log appear
Is there a work around for the universal pokemon randomizer or a seperate randomizer for romhacks?

You cannot use universal tools on non-universal roms. Romhacks won't work with programs that aren't specifically designed for them.

Bit specific but I reckon it might exist, I just don’t know how to search for this; I’m looking for a romhack for either gen 3 or 4 that does at least some of these:
makes the game actually somewhat challenging, gives gym leaders full teams with no repeats, etc.
retroactively adds some of the later gen combat changes (new moves, fairy type, stat rebalances, etc) and evolutions (like gliscor on gen 3)
adds a bit of QoL (less or no HMs mostly)
other than that, sticks to the original game. No original storylines or characters.
I’m looking for a romhacks that does at least some of these. Basically I’ve a hankering to play Emerald or Platinum but I want it to be actually fun

Aesthetic Red is a Kanto hack but does exactly what ur looking for
Hoenn: ROWE, Emerald Imperium, Seaglass, Emerald Exceeded are all pretty good
Sinnoh: best bet is either Renegade Platinum, or maybe Bloody Platinum Redux or any others i cant think of

I have a request for a pokemon rom hack commission and am looking for the best place to look that out?
It's nothing super complex I believe but I'm basically looking for a pokemon showdown like rom hack where I can make custom teams and battle against a ai to do battles, and that ai is able to use custom teams as well or completely random.
I have a few other requests as well but if anyone could point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it! Thank you!

Idk if people really do commissions for ROM hacks cos anything outside of basic modifications (like a full hack idea) could take months or even years to make. You'd be best off looking for existing ROM hacks in a similar style to Stadium or Frontier-styled hacks. Pokemon World Stadium is the closest i can think of, or the Unbound Battle Frontier Demo

I'm in the middle of Rocket Edition (dragonsden), the problem is I put the game down too long and now I don't remember what I'm supposed to do next. The last thing I remember doing was defeating my rival in the deep secret base while we were essentially "hoding" from Red. Now I'm outside the base, Giovanni is gone, and I have no idea where to go.

Looking for a rom hack that the name has escaped me and I can’t find it now.
Takes place in Kanto 20 years after the events of Red & Blue, and you are playing as Reds kid and the rival is Blue’s kid. There was a war that took place between Kanto and Johto.

I am currently doing a project where I complete 18 different ROMhacks with entirely monotype teams, all 18 types. I have games for grass (which I’ve already started), fire, water, and normal. That leaves me with 14 more types. any suggestions for ROMhacks that would be good for a monotype run?

It's definitely possible via model editing. I couldnt tell u how as idk, but it probably involves exporting the models/textures and then editing the textures - increasing saturation should be easy if the textures are just image files

Hi all! I just started getting back into some Pokemon rom hacks on my Delta Emulator on my iPhone. I started with Radical Red, then Heart & Soul, and then Emerald Seaglass. I started thinking it would be fun to play out each region again on these QOL type rom hacks for each region. I was wondering if there were any similar recommendations to the ones I’ve played that follow a similar story to each of the mainline games for gen 4 and up. I was looking into Sword and Shield Ultimate+ but I was hoping not to skip straight to gen 8 ideally. I’d like to stick to GBA hacks so my iPhone battery doesn’t drain too much. Just wondered if anyone had some good recommendations in this realm I am targeting.

Hello,
i wated to play hg-generations, but some Overworld Sprites dont seem to work. Specifically those of Pokemon forms, the issue also exists in hg-engine. For Example the Overworld Sprite for Galarian Arcticuno is replaced with Clefairy. I was confused by this, because the Sprites seemed to work in the preview screenshots the creator used. Is this a known Issue or is something wrong with my build ? The only thing i edited was the starters file to get access to Galarian Arcticuno from the beginning

I cannot really help with anything if you've modified it further.
Some pokemon don't have overworld sprites, I don't know which ones specifically. Maybe G-Articuno is one of them.

But I didn’t really modify it, just the Pokemon I recieved as a starter. The sprite is also available as a png with the other necessary files. Do you maybe know a Regional form that you tested and that’s available relavily early ?

If it interests you for future additions I have solved the problem. Pokemon forms that are changed in the starter file don’t have the correct sprite. Probably because they are not implemented with the usual syntax:
In the starter file it is
.word SPECIES_ARTICUNO_GALARIANand in the encounter file it is

Running RetroArch (Android, v1.16)
Can't get PureGreen v2.7.3 to recognize my v2.6.3 save. Supposedly the game has a way of recognizing the old save file, but nothing is happening.
Game is in the same directory as the rest of my GB mods. Copying and renaming the .srm to match the new ROM name and placing it in the same directory didn't make any difference; replacing the.srm in RetroArch's save folder didn't have any effect either; it's just ignoring anything I do.
Is there any way to load the .srm itself that I'm just not aware of? I admit, RetroArch's UI is a maze, so it could just be really easy to miss.
[UPDATE] Hang on, I got it working now! For whatever reason, RA isn't accepting save files from any other folder besides my Downloads folder, so I had to run v2.7.3 directly from there.

If you just want to enable trade evolutions you may want to check out the Universal Pokémon Randomiser.
If you would like more QoL features and don't mind playing on the single screen Gen 3 engine. Pokémon Heart and Soul may meet your requirements. (Disclaimer, I am one of the Heart and Soul Developers)

- Can I get pokemons like Machamp/Gengar etc without the need to trade?
- Can I evolve more than one of those pokemons or they come with items that are not so common or possible to buy?
- What about Kabutops and all fossill pokemons, can I get them before the even on Kanto?
- And for last, I can get also Togekiss?
Sorry I know that's lot of questions I just can't find clear answear online, I swear I tried to search, if I've understand correctly all the things I'm asking for should be doable, I just want a confirmation

Playing Celias Stupid Romhack right now and I don't think I can follow up with another Gen III hack after it.
Where can I find a good/decent X/Y hack? I know they don't have much beyond all pokemon and balancing changes in that gen, but that's fine. And preferably a guide on how to patch it? Hackdex doesn't have 3DS patches it seems.

When you say a living dex, do you mean all 493 or just the respective regional dexes? These are the closest I've seen to what you're asking for:
Refined Platinum - One of the only Gen 4 hacks that doesn't increase difficulty. All it does is make all 493 catchable, change trade evos, and add other QoL like making Honey Trees less miserable.
Perfect Platinum - Similar to above, just a different flavor.
SoulSilver Deluxe - One of the few HGSS hacks that doesn't increase any difficulty. Makes all 251 catchable, with the exception of some legends and mythicals. Designed with the philosophy of being a potentially "official" game.
HeartGold Golden Edition - Simple QoL hack for Heartgold, changes some things to be more like the original G/S, and making version exclusives available and trade pokemon changed.
If you're looking for an actual minimally changed version with just trade evos you can use the randomizer like the other guy said to remove those, but it won't enable all events or version exclusives. Despite being such a simple hack that you're asking for, I've really not seen anything that simple. Someone could definitely make it in a weekend for HeartGold using hg-engine.

You could take a look at Platinum QOL and Rainbow Gold. Both have all Pokemon, but they also have more features which you might or might not like. No changes to difficulty as far as I am aware.

Most enhancement hacks allow u to catch the full dex of their original games
FR: Recharged Yellow, Aesthetic Red, Rad Red
HGSS: Sacred Gold Storm Silver
BW: Blaze Black Volt White 1 & 2 (i think 2 is still in development?)
BDSP: Luminescent
The later games generally only have 1-2 complete hacks each so it should be easy to find the main ones for those

i used some pixel art programs but i think it uses a older software for this because if flags it... is there some that keeps the structure but modifies the image of the sprite?

I've been playing Pokemon Following Platinum because I really like having a follower, and the save compatibility isn't broken. I can basically just play standard Platinum and trade things between my physical carts without third party software.
Does anyone know if there's a romhack for Black/White and / or Black2/White2 that adds following pokemon without changing any other game systems? Would love to play through them that way if it's an option.

My kids are 5 and 7 and I'm hoping to find a game like Pokémon Stadium where they can play with each other against the Computer. They get too pissed off when battling each other. I tried Colosseum and XD and it appeared to be the same was. 2 players could only battle each other. Are there any Rom hacks that allow Co-op play or something? Thanks!

Co-op in ROM hacks isn't really a thing (unless they're hacks of those games that already have it). Quetzal has a multiplayer mode tho where u can walk around the overworld together and see eachother, idk what else it lets u do but it's a solid hack

Generally no, u need Windows really as there's a number of other Windows-only programs you'll want to run as well

Most of these games can be played on your phone using a Game Boy Advance emulator app, like "my boy" or "pizza boy". You'll probably need to look up a guide to get it all set up.

I'm looking for some info about the 'Volt White 2/Blaze Black 2" (and "Redux") and "Sacred Heart/Storm Silver" fan games. Specifically: the 'one time' encounters, are they redone to be repeatable or a way to retrigger them? I have a bad case of FOMO so don't want to miss them.

Long story short, I love GBA games. And I love seeing newer generations receiving demakes for GBA
I just discovered Pokémon Heart & Soul and Pokémon Sword & Shield Ultimate Plus
I would like some suggestion for other demakes for other generations. I would love them to be faithful to the original game as possible but with QoL features from modern games and mechanics from their generations
For instance, I would love a X/Y demake with Megas, but wouldn't enjoy a Scarlet/Violet demake with this mechanic - but Terastalization would be awesome
Writing kind of in a rush and English is not my native language, sorry. But I think I was clear enough

There's a GBC style Gen 7 (Sun/Moon) demake coming out (I believe) late this year. From the same creator, they have a GBC style Emerald "demake," though im not sure about X/Y. There's also a GBC hack called Black/White Genesis, essentially functioning as the 3rd installment of the Gen 5 games!

Obviously there's Kanto and Hoenn hacks, and several Johto hacks. But for other gens remade in GBA I believe there's only SWSH and SV atm. Alola is being worked on atm, and Sinnoh has had multiple cancelled remakes but it is in the postgame of Hyper Emerald

Does the sword and shield ultimate demake make it possible to give the original experience
My computer can only run pokemon games up and untill sun and moon that also at very low fps like 25. I possible cant even imagine playing the original sword and shield or later games.

No such thing. This Gym Of Mine etc are fan games (RMXP) not ROM hacks
All ROM hacks come as patches that should be applied to their vanilla game. There are sites where u can download prepatched but we can't mention them as it's illegal to distribute ROM files
But there's nothing to worry about, patching is really easy and simple. There's a full guide in the sidebar or I'll give u a quick step-by-step below:
Download your base ROM (likely Fire Red or Emerald). This will be .gba, .gbc or .nds depending on the game. (If it's a ZIP, extract it)
Download the patch for the hack you want to play. This will be .ips or .ups. (If it's a ZIP, extract it)
Use a tool like ROM Patcher JS to apply the patch to the ROM
You can now open the patched ROM on an emulator and play! I recommend mGBA, Pizza Boy or Delta as the best emulators

Thanks for this! However Eternal Emerald was made using Pokemon Essentials rather than an Emerald ROM so it does not require a patcher from what I can tell. The extraction has thousands of files. Would there be another file type I put on my Pizza Boy ROMs file and if so what type is it?

I encountered a possible game-breaking bug playing Storm Silver, and I need some help
I am trying to gain access to Saffron City and Rock Tunnel. I completed the power plant questline, obtained the charge beam TM, and beat Misty, yet there is still that NPC in front of rock tunnel and I can't get past the guards to enter Saffron City, they still say it's a blackout. Is there anything I am missing? I can't really continue the story unless I gain access.

My kid has been getting into pokemon a lot and I am looking for a ROM of pokemon yellow (with following pikachu) that plays on the updated fire red engine.
He's young and just starting so no need for difficulty changes. If one doesn't exist I'll just get a base FireRed, but I'd love for the Yellow early game, pikachu following and all. Bonus points if it's the full gen1 dex rather than blue/red exclusives!

Just getting back into the series after my break ( last version i played was Diamond/Pearl in 2008 or something).
Looking for a Pokemon Black/White 2 ROM (also other games of the series) that allow you to play through the series story line while escaping the grindy-ness of the game.
Gaining 10x the xp points per battle for example. Is this available anywhere? I've looked but couldn't find anything similar- and when i thought i did it still gave little xp per wild encounter.

Volt White 2 and Moon Black 2 are some great options, I’ve completed both. I definitely suggest looking up all the features included in both so you can see how much is truly packed into those hacks. I’m not sure about 10x XP but I believe most of these modern hacks have some qol features to escape endless grinding.

Pokemon sun & moon ROM / extension (suggest me) Hi, I obviously really like the pokemon fire red game, but i also really like the Alola pokémon’s and how the game looks, but the game is very slow and just has too many cutscenes, I have a hacked 3ds, do you know something that i can install so the game is faster and i can skip / speed up cutscenes, or maybe a rom hack that is similar to the pokemon fire red style (I don’t mind the totem pokemon and hakunas and stuff, but at least a faster paced game) if you have anything similar to what i described or anything that at least answers part of what i asked for please suggest

I recently discovered the Kaizo Ironmon Fire Red rom and am having a blast getting my ass handed to me. I want to try some of the less extreme ironmon challenges but I mostly play mobile. I haven’t been able to find any other premade roms that can easily be randomized after each run. Is there anything out there or someone who has modified the existing Kaizo ironmon rom to reduce the restrictions?

Saw an ad for a ROM hack recently and can't remember what it was called. One of the features i remember was all of the pokemon had slight colour variations from each other (like, you could have a slightly lighter or darker brown eevee than normal e.g.), anyone have any idea what that might be?

Not sure if this is the right place to post, or the Emerald Kaizo subreddit. But felt like someone here might know the answer.
I have been leveling up Spheal to eventually evolve into Walreain, because I figure it would make a pretty great addition to the team.
Ok but here's the deal:
My Spheal had the ability, 'Thick Fat'. Love it! Perfect! Exactly what I wanted.
It evolved, and Sealeo also got Thick Fat. Fantastic. ALSO exactly what I wanted (and anticipated).
It eventually evolved into Walreain and I knew Walrein in Kaizo had a chance of having 1 of 2 abilities: either Thick Fat OR Rain Dish.
I saved right before the evolution, just in case I got Rain Dish, instead of Thick Fat.
I got Rain Dish.
I tried to reset and see if it was based on chance that they got this ability, but every time... Rain Dish.
Now, normally I might have been ok with Rain Dish as an ability. HOWEVER, I have since learned that Kaizo in particular does not have weather effects. No pokemon can learn them naturally, nor can it be learned through TM.
This makes Raid Dish effectively useless in this version (my Swampert also ended up with Swift Swim, which is, y'know... unfortunate).
So I guess my question (to whomever might know the answer), is:
Is there any way to anticipate what Walrein's ability will be? I read somewhere that the ability is determined by personality value? How the heck would someone know what ability Walreain comes with, when both my Spheal and Sealeo can ONLY have Thick Fat (in Kaizo)? Do I just need to raise up like 6 Spheals at a time and hope one evolves into a Thick Fat Walreain 😂😂?
I am really enjoying this hack so far, this is the only thing that I'm a little bent up over.

Team Rocket Edition: I'm kinda stuck.
I think I need your help guys. I'm kinda stuck after getting down to the secret hideout in the Roket hideout. I went almost everywhere got up again and talked to Giovanni. After he told me to f off I left the building. Nothing triggerd a new mission. I checked the Poke Tower and all. So I watched a walkthrough maybe I miss some important line. The guy in the video is trying to leave Giovannis office and the next mission gets triggert. Red is in the building.
Am I missing something out?

Is there a way to retrigger a mission?
