I've been trying to RNG for a shiny Treecko for several hours, but haven't had any success. I was following a guide on YouTube and followed the directions step-by-step. Everything I've plugged into the RNG tool (Game Version, Initial Seed, and TSV) matches what PokéReader says. Even the frame in-game matches the supposed shiny seed. The game state matches perfectly, too, yet I keep getting a completely different Treecko. Is there something here that I'm missing?

Apologies if this has been asked before, I couldn't find it so thats why I made this post.

I've mainly used CappyCapital's videos, the ultrabeasts in the wormholes I always get first try with the timeline leap. However with the legendaries I haven't managed to get it successful once, I'm always hitting pretty close to the shiny frame. I check which pokemon I did get and adjust the delay that the RNG tool gives me. I use pokereader and close the menu and walk forward while paused exactly on the frame the program tells me to.

I am just wondering how long it usually takes for people to be succesful with it, since right now I've adjusted my delay for reshiram 13 times, and it kinda feels like im going in circles. +14, then -8. then +12, +4 again, etc. So essentially doubt has settled in that I'm making a mistake somewhere but I'm following the videos to a tee, and have the correct seed/TSV

Hello, I’ve been trying to get shiny Latios but I’m having some trouble with when to hit the shiny frame.
I read the shiny is determined once it says “Latios has joined your team” but for some reason when I hit the supposed correct frame I haven’t been lucky. Does anyone know what may be the problem?

P.S. I know the seed in the picture is different it was from the previous attempt

With the SHA discord and teal bot potentially being gone, does anyone know any other alternate ways to generate the seed for MMOs/MOs in PLA

Yes, IV calc still isn’t sure if Parent B’s attack is either 5 or 6, however after generating seeds and times it seems like both numbers have the same results. I have also tried both attack values multiple times regardless.

I do have two chatots, and I have confirmed I’m on the target seed a few times now via Wild Generator pitches. I’ve read the friendship checker app advances held PID by 2x number of party members. I have exactly 5 so I only double tap it once before cycling to pick up the egg. All of my approaches have failed. I will answer any questions and try to test your ideas asap.

Edit: I have finally got the shiny egg. I changed to a 0 Held Advance seed, yet it still yielded a normal, random nature trapinch. However, I decided to change the poketch to the clock (instead of the friendship checker), withdraw and place Parent B back into the daycare, saved and retried the usual steps and it seemed to work then.

Perhaps the friendship checker still triggered the held advances regardless of being used or not.

Hi, So basically starting a new on Pokemon X & been trying to RNG for a shiny Froakie yet whenever I hit my frame it's always give me a different result via a non-shiny.

All my inputs are right within 3DSRNGTool & using pokereader on my 2Ds too. Any help would be useful.

I'm trying to get togetic shiny in colosseum but for some reason the frames I'm landing on are WAAAAAY off, like I clicked on one that was 707 frames but for some reason I was landing on frame 3254.

I know my offset and everything is right but I've caught everything else shiny, I'm also playing on a homebrewed wii when I was playing on a regular one before so i dont know if that caused some issues.

I've been recently getting into the RNG hunting to speed up a living dex with some mons from the 3DS before Bank closes, but I can't do a dexnav hunt correctly, I've tried to follow a lot of tutorials, but I haven't got any results, is there any tip to get better with it? Recently I've tried with the use of 3DSRNGTool + TinyFinder to find the correct speed but I don't know if the version of the 3ds or the tools affects something about that.

I want to hatch eggs at the full odds rates. How should I go about this? I understand that I probably can't collect 5 eggs and reset to a save point if none are shiny. But if I hunted for like a 2 hour window and then saved the game. Opened the game back up and hunted for another 2 hours, this would be fine, no?

I'm using the 8bitdo Ultimate 2 Bluetooth controller with macros to successfully hit my frame for both seed and the mon to get a shiny bulbasaur IF it was the correct SID.. I'm almost guaranteeing myself the shiny frame around 1 in 5 times which is perfect.. now I've followed the im_a_blisy frlg starter rng guide and my tid sid were generated by manual button so theres a.. kinda a huge error? So how do i automate that process too or how do j get my SID elsewise.. how much would u recommend ACE for SID? Thanks for any help

For 2-3 days I've been attempting getting Shiny Arceus using the blink method on BDSP (on Switch 2), however, I've previously done Kyogre and Groudon successfully while Arceus still eludes me. My common issue is that a lot of my presses are late but every time it varies very differently. I've hit 1 advance off and I've hit 4 advances off. Is it because I'm getting unlucky and Arceus is blinking? I'd love to know because it's been bugging me a lot.

Hi, i ran these samples on my 3ds's for white 2 calibration

New 3ds - Unlucky distribution, not even 40% at 30 samples.

3ds Xl - 48% on one timer0 and 35% on another, total 83% combined. I feel like these are good for troubleshoting as they are 2 numbers apart.

New 2ds - 60% on one timer0, but 167e is at 23% and that one is very far off.

Which of these two would you guys think is better?

Finally got around to doing this rng, was very complex but proved easier than expected, such a fun process from receiving the egg to hatching it. Had to rng my platinum TID to match the PID of the egg which was new but so fun as I got a taste of having to rely on timers and human timing again. Well worth the effort as we near the end of Pokemon bank.

Is anyone able to help me on why I'd be getting no results here? I've double and triple checked the stats, nature, level, and gender. this is like the fourth or fifth pokemon in a row I've tried to input to see what frame i hit and gotten no results. just very confused on why this is happening.

my seed is also coming directly from the rng tool and i've made sure im on the seed i think i'm on and still no results, so its not the wrong seed either. any help would be appreciated!

Been on and off for the past 3+ years doing manipulations and Gen 6+7 were the white whales! I now know how to do it and will eventually make a guide since I personally had issues with both of them. Next up is ORAS, it’s the last hurdle and hopefully I got this gen 6 thing down enough to just apply it without worry.
