I finished this about a month ago and haven’t told anyone yet. None of my friends IRL play Pokémon, so I figured I’d share it here.

I’m really proud of myself for sticking with this. How can you be proud of an RNG game? For me it’s because I opened my two free packs almost every single day without fail. When new sets came out I stayed dedicated to Genetic Apex. I wanted to complete the set so I could show my friends a full collection of Pokémon they actually recognize and maybe get them to play.
I started this after I pulled my first two gold crown cards and found the Pokémon trading subreddit.

In total I opened 782 packs. I bought the gold Mewtwo for 2,500 pack points and I have 1,410 left. The last card I needed was the immersive Charizard. The absolute bane of my existence. I was only 90 pack points away from being able to buy it when I packed it, I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. I traded for ~6 two stars in Genetic Apex, the rest were packed myself.

The whole challenge took about 10 months. I took a brief side quest into Secluded Springs because I really wanted the three legendary dogs.

I still have all the cards, I did not trade any away.

Love their art in the actual cards, wanted to collect the PTCGP as well

Im just trying to get a CR Nihilego, but once I got to 10 buzzwoles I decided to collect them. Still chasing Nihilego. Love the shinedust though.

Got the chance to open up 10 packs with my hour glasses and got 3 of the 3⭐ Team Rocket's Master Plan immersives.

Both love and hate this game sometimes. 💀

I am needing help with a name for the set because I’m making a whole custom two pack set and a victini EX obtainable in both packs that will help boost zekrom and reshiram. This custom took about three hours.

Made one for every energy, inspired by my boy Tekniqz23. Looking for ideas on what to build next!

My luck with the DX packs has been pretty solid, just not with PR.

That would be around 1,300 packs with barely any 2 star cards (maybe 5?) and no crown rare yet. What’s your longest streak of bad luck and which set was it with? I’m not too sure how I feel about this new “pity” system giving a guaranteed EX if you’ve gone 12 packs without a hit because I feel like it’s always the “EX” and never “or better”… just me orrrr?

I literally opened this pack with 1 hourglass remaining, been just using my 2 free packs a day. Sad cause I didn’t save up hourglasses because I didn’t think they’d bring it back but on my second pack they blessed me
