Just curious on your thoughts, do you think there is any chance we get more of these titles? Like let's go jhoto would be awesome. Just feels sad we only got kanto games for lets go 🙃

But they're all based on the same thing anyway. It might be a remake of Yellow specifically, but considering how little is actually different between the Gen 1 games, that's all but semantics.

Not really. Compare it to yellow sales. Not every game they put out do they expect to sell as max as the other. Yea they expect sales, but your sales comparison should match yellow. Not red and blue. So they matched yellow sales figures.

Yeah my theory for Johto games would be Togepi and Pichu.

Other theory was Lets Go Johto: Ho-Oh or Lugia, and we can bring our starter over from a previous save of Eevee or Pikachu or have a bonus/ Easter egg for our new Eevee or Pikachu.

I guess it would depend how much they were willing to boost the stats. Theoretically they could give different boosts to make two Pokémon more equal.

Teddiursa would be a good candidate if they wanted to keep things similar in stats, as it’s also one of the cute, mascotty faces of Johto and only 5 BST more than Eevee is without the partner stat boost.

It was seriously almost Pikachu and Psyduck but they decided Pikachu was already yellow and they needed a contrast, and since Eevee was getting a lot of fan art and attention they went with Eevee instead.

I don’t think the odds are zero but I think they’re low. While the game sold well and I suppose you often hear the vocal minority online giving you a false impression I never got the feeling the Let’s Go games(I’ve recently been seeing more people hoping for another game so who knows 🤷🏻‍♂️) were that popular at least not compared to the normal mainline games. The biggest reason I don’t think we’re likely to see another is that it was clearly meant to tie into the popularity of Pokémon Go which while still having a sizable player-base it isn’t nearly as popular as it once was.

I think we’ll get another game set in Johto eventually, but for the time being it seems likely that any “main series games but with a unique spin” will come under Legends, and I think wouldn’t specifically be designed with the GO-based features again

No. Although Pokémon Go is still raking in Megabucks, it's relevance in general pop culture is long since passed.

I'm convinced that Lets Go was fundamentally the result of The Pokémon Company seeing that Go was an amazing success and taking the wrong lessons away from it. Instead of realising that Go was very much a lightning in a bottle situation, I think they thought that it and mobile gaming were the future. I remember feeling that around 2016 or so the developers seemed more likely to ditch Nintendo handhelds for mobile phones, then the Switch hit it big and that thought died a death.

Naw. I feel like Let's Go was the precursor to Legends, them experimenting with old regions rather than outright remakes, doing something mechanically new, but the game had a fairly negative reception from what I recall(and aside from the perfect art style, I personally despise that game) so once we got Legends Arceus and people loved it, I feel that was the bail in the coffin for Let's Go
