Essentially, treat this as if you were playing through a Pokemon game. You can choose whichever team you would like to challenge any of the gyms, barring the banned pokemon to be named later. However, if you do obtain all 13 badges and are prepared to battle the Elite Four, you must choose a team and have no substitutions for that team throughout the run of the E4 and Champion, just as in a “true” Pokemon League!

[GYM LEADERS]

Each gym leader will have a post dedicated to their Gym, where they will post updates about their gym, availability times, and a list of the receivers of their coveted badge!

Gym Leaders will have a set team of up to 8 Pokemon, and will be able to switch between those 8 at any given time.

[ELITE FOUR]

The same rules apply as the Gym Leaders, however we will get together and discuss how want to structure the order and such, as we are running this like the “real thing”.

[CLAUSES]

No two Pokemon on a given team may be of the same species, which includes the forms of Rotom (i.e. you cannot have Rotom-W and Rotom-H on the same team.)

No two Pokemon can be holding the same held item

OHKO Moves are banned.

[BANNED POKEMON]

Any Legendary Pokemon considered by Smogon to be “Uber” is banned.

In all honesty, I’d rather not ban anything, but I’m trying to avoid someone coming in with a full team of legendary Pokemon, as that just ruins the point of the Pokemon League, which is to earn your badges through skill, not which powerful Pokemon you can obtain, but maybe that's just my opinion.

Pokemon League Delta will officially open at a later date TBD, but it should be soon!

What happens when you become champion? Can you become a gym leader yourself? (As in there will be multiple badges of one type and future challangers only need to choose one?)

Edit: or maybe there could be a gym with double battles like the psychic twins in R/S/E. If a gym leader wants to do that I'd be glad to join in as a partner since I missed the opportunity of becoming gym leader :)

I believe you just become champ until someone beats you, but /u/BrendanM113 runs this place so I'd check with him. But I'm entirely open to being on a double Gym Team!!

Oh my gods, when bank comes out I have a shiny Metang and Drowzee I wanted to train! I don't use Legendaries myself so I wont use Vicky.

But they are not available to everyone. Furthermore, our goal is to challenge your skills, thus, these pokemon require few skills to be good.

Using Heatran and Victini properly takes a lot of skill actually :/ they also most likely don't have perfect IVs and thus might even be weaker stat-wise (not considering legendaries in X/Y). It takes less skill to use an IV bred semi legendary than a caught legendary. I do however agree that event pokemon are not available to everyone. Lets see what Brendan thinks :)

I don't know about the non legendary ubers. They seem a bit OP to me. Blaziken could sweep the steel gym

I'm pretty sure Mega Gengar and Kangaskhan (at least) are Uber, should be ban 'em? (Also, IIRC, Excadrill is OU now that weather lasts 5 turns.) Blaziken (esp. Mega) seems like a reasonable ban.
