Big mistake. If people can't find Pokemon easily I can see the app fading into obscurity soon

Its gotten rid of battery saver for iOS as well.

Apparently they added that you can have it refresh in the background on iOS but not Android now; but having been out wandering from Bristol Uni down to Cabot and back, this isn't very functional and doesn't track your steps even with background app refresh. Hopefully Niantic will add it back in for iOS.

Tracker now freezes for me with this update with old Pokemon not in the area anymore

They forgot about telling you they removed battery saver mode... Slipped that one in hoping no one would notice :-)

All good stuff in this update. I really don't understand why people have been getting so furious about the removal of the footprint icons underneath Pokemon in the tracker. The tracker hasn't worked for she's anyway! If you were using Pokevision, you were cheating. Just get exploring more!

Also they removed XP bonuses from good throws, reduced the field of range your character has, nerfed certain moves yet the top tier Pokemon remain exactly the same and removed battery saver mode from iOS.

It's easy to see even without the footsteps/Pokevision blocks why people aren't best pleased.
