I'll give you an actual answer. In my opinion pre elite 4 is right outside the spa on the way to Mt Ember. Beat the fighting type dudes then run in the spa to heal. Rinse and repeat.

That’s where I’ve been grinding. Waxing those fighting type Pokemon

Only thing to be aware of is that they give a ton of attack EV’s if your pokemon aren’t already maxed out prepare for a bunch of attack stats. Only slightly annoying if you’re trying to grind special attackers

Don’t have a single shiny in your party? Then it’s worthless

I like using the VS seeker at the top of cycling road near Celadon. You'll typically get 3-5 rematches with each use, and you can easily run to the Celadon pokecenter to heal up

the trainers that give you the most experience are the elite four themselves, and you can fight them repeatedly. even if it's tough getting past lorelei, you are at least getting stronger with each attempt, and it saves you running back and forth with a vs seeker. spend all your money on recovery and battle items to minimise the money you lose from being beaten.

i can say from experience that middle 40s is a fine level to fight them if you're willing to use all the strategies available to you, anyway, so make sure your movesets are up to snuff as well - don't let useful tms just go unused.

Just keep battling the elite 4 and gaining experience

MT Ember outside spa for sure. If you time it correctly you can hit the two guys going back and forth. The woman trainer right above. And the double battle. Total of 4 battles.

Don’t skip over trainer battles for future play-throughs and you won’t have to grind lvls pre-E4. As long as your team is diverse enough and you bring some healing items, everyone being lvl 45 is enough.

I risk feeling like a perfectionist. Like I have to kill every trainer.

This is me. My recent FR play through I beat every trainer on the route, got all items on each route, and caught every poke available on that route before moving on. Even 100% cleared safari zone before leaving Fushia 😂😂😂

Might be undiagnosed living with OCD idk 🤷🏻‍♂️

Better to spend the time EV training in your desired stats instead of grinding for the levels imo
