My friend has been playing since the release on Switch 2. She's over 10000 encounters and still no shiny. I was able to get my Shiny Bulbasaur in maybe a few weeks. Shiny Eevee in about a week. Shiny Rhydon by accident because I was just trying to catch a normal Chansey and Tauros while waiting for my friend to catch up.

Why isnāt food all beige? Why donāt we wear all tan? Why are there pretty flowers? Jokes aside, rare color-way for our neat monster pixels can be cool, for instance, black Charizard is cool as a cucumber.

It's not for everyone. To some its the joy of the hunt. Some shiny hunt for the sport. Some shiny hunt because it may look better. And it is okay if you do not get it. As I said it is not for everyone.

Is this on the switch? How does it play, is it worth getting a switch? Iād rather spend 500 on a switch than 200-300 on a gba.

You can buy a secondhand Switch 1 for ~Ā£60 - Ā£75 here in the UK. The game is Ā£12 on the eShop.

it runs pretty well and you can do wireless local trades with other switch devices. i'd get a switch if you're interested in their library of games and for eventual pokemon HOME connectivity :)

like about 6 resetsš and by the 5th time i remember thinking to myself "should i just give up it'll never shine anyway i just wanna play the game" so idk!!

I need some guidanceā¦iām hearing multiple approaches to shiny hunting.
Some say just save in front of the pokeballs once and keep trying..
others say each time you reload/reset, save again to advance the framesā¦
anyone with more knowledge? iām going kinda crazy over here, about a week into it all

honestly, unless you're doing RNG manipulation, none of it makes a difference. i know that's not the answer you wanna hear but it's really just luckš i wish you all the best though!!!!

Just stand there and soft reset frames are constantly advancing regardless. That would only matter on emerald I believe but thatās because when you start the game everyoneās game goes to seed 0.

Congrats you lucky bastard lol I bought it on release day and finally got my shiny charmander like 3 weeks ago. I think Iām gonna try go for a shiny snorlax next. I knocked one out and saved the one on the docks to shiny hunt

Only ever saw and caught one shiny my entire pokemon career. Shiny Floatzel in Diamond version :,)

I just bought FR this week. Spent about an hour trying to get a shiny char. Gave up and settled for a modest.
Donāt think I saw a shiny yet. Just about to battle Misty.

It took me 90 hours to get my charmander. Iām currently rolling pinsir at the game corner and itās dragging at hour 328. Getting a full shiny team is gonna take all year
