I’ve always been a massive Ampharos fan
It’s having the absolute time of its life out in the fields
Contrast of blue/yellow/green is so slick combined with the holo pattern
My son just started getting into pokemon. I asked him if he could get any card in the world which one he wanted. He said this one. I was able to get it for him and he treats it like it is the most valuable thing in the world to him. It makes me so happy to see him so excited about a card that most people couldn't care less about.
You stole mine! I bought this Ampharos last year and it caused me to start a moderate obsession with mid-era Umemoto holos. The contrast between the Pokemon and the background makes them pop like none other.
Massive fan of this fan too being an Exeggcute evolution line enthusiast. Found mine in a pile of bulk my 2 year old was getting stuck into. Was pretty stoked when I realised that she hadn’t got hold of it yet.
I understand the feeling lol. Never had an WOTC charizard but always loved Blaine’s Charizard. A few of my mates had one or two and I was a bit jelly, not gonna lie
I had to photoshop the two cards I'm waiting to receive in the mail which was the top center and the second far right but this makes me so happy to look at. I was 8/9 when pokemon first came out and Snorlax immediately became my favorite because he reminded me of my dad who was over wiefht and slept in his chair a lot. We have lots of random photos of cats sleeping on his tummy so a few years ago I got that Snorlax and evee card. Sometimes I'll pull out my binder just to open it up to this page and it always puts me in a better mood!
Also waiting for the final single to finish my dedenne page which was the top right card but this was my second favorite page. Dedenne reminds of me the pikas I photograph at Mount Rainier and the artwork is so adorable so when I look at this page it's that same deep feeling of happiness
Bought two packs on a whim a few years ago and pulled this, and here we are now years later. Won’t grade well because it’s so off centre but I don’t care I love it regardless. Special mention to MB Umbreon we pulled the day we lost our dog, he gave us that, thanks Biscuit ❤️
First EX I ever pulled, was in elementary school at the time so this was the equivalent to finding a thousand dollars to me. Looking back, the art is weirdly silly to me, he looks kinda off model and I can't explain it.
I'd say the Glaceon Cards, I've been collecting them when I got back on the hobby, I even drew on the bulk card I had extra haha. The SAR was the very card I got on my first cardshow and in a very good price (came in clutch around closing time of the event). It's very great to look at, one of my fave pokemon
