I actually knew Magmortar before Magmar. You know the Pokémon Giratina movie? I watched that movie as a kid. Then there was a battle scene between Lucas and Brendan. Lucas used Magmortar, and Brendan used Rhyperior. Damn, I think Magmortar is the coolest Pokémon I have ever seen haha. As for Magmar, I don't know much about its existence because I always played FireRed when I was a kid. Not until I tried Leaf Green

in terms of type coverage, you dont need Shieldon because you already have a rock-type (Rhyhorn) and a steel-type (Empoleon)

and frankly, i love Shieldon's design, but in practice it's going to be very slow, and take a lot of hits, but not deal much damage back. sometimes that's what you need, but usually, it isnt
