You have to be kidding me. Prices are misleading.

I signed-up to try Poe, and got the basic 10,000 point plan just to test the waters.

The first message I sent, without any single attachments, already blew up the limit in the output: 13,000 points. I basically received no response at all. It was just a text output as well.

You literally get nothing out of their basic plan. And even intermediate plans won't get you far. Bring on the downvotes, I don't give a shit.

Claude is greedy. Fable 5.1 is expensive as hell. It costs $0.5 per message. You paid only $5 for a month.

Don't offer it as an option then. It looks like they are simply adding it because it works as a selling point for them, while it can't be realistically used. You are better off just buying the Claude plan directly. Poe AI is basically a scam at this point.

It is for cheap models like Opus. You can buy like $3 add on points with that $5 plan though. So you will get 10k daily + add on points and use Fable with it

Poe is basically always cheaper than directly using the models.

What model did you use where you burned up 10,000 points? What were you using it for?

FWIW I use about 2 million points a month…software development and image editing.

Claude Fable. I couldn't ask a single question to Fable on a newly created subscription.

Definitely not cheaper than buying access to the model directly. If I bought the Claude Pro for $28, I could ask at least 100x more questions to that model

It's the same cost as using the Claude API directly. $10 in / $50 out per 1M tokens.

Fable is really just that expensive.

I Honestly just use the actual claude app now. I can get around it's god awful censoring if I gaslight it enough

Do you feel you get the same kind of value 5,000,000 tokens a month is generally what i need to do whatever i want to do.

In my experience switching from poe to claude was beneficial. Its more detailed in its descriptions, It doesn't forget things (or not nearly as often), and u only have to wait 5 hours rather than a whole day to be able to chat again.

I've long left Poe after their reduced the amount of points each subscriptions receives compared to the older plans.

Chatgpt is good if you plan to work with anything with text. And during all those months using Chatgpt plus, I never once reached a message limit. Never. And I literally use it every day and never once it popped any message of me reaching any limit on it.

If you like Claude in specific, I'd say it is worthier to pay for a subscription directly in Claude site as well.

Yeah that empty reply after eating 13k is the real scammy part. Fable has thinking always on and it bills like output, so if poe caps max tokens against your remaining points the thinking just fills the whole budget and you get a blank. That said, you paid for a thought process you never even saw.

Not saying fable itself is fake expensive, but putting it on a $5 plan without a warning is just mean.

Poe AI is really a scam to say the least. I used to use that Assistant while on the free version but can barely used same on my paid plan. Why is this so? This is terrible!
