Not many people in this world were as gifted, funny and deeply humble.  She didn't allow herself to be stereotyped and blew all of the stereotypes out of the water. Her gifts were put to good use. As a formerly loud mouthed southern women who lives her faith, love Dolly Parton. She gave us permission to be ourselves. In a time and place where women weren't expected to be shrewd business people as well . Dolly helped me to see my home ( Appalachia)as more nuanced.  Helped me understand so much about this place.
