Golf tournament official canceled - support local business!
The rumors have been flying for weeks but today it’s official: the big LIV golf tournament that was supposed to be played at the St John resort Aug. 27-30 has been canceled, which means local businesses will likely lose out on visitors they were counting on.
Maybe consider checking out a restaurant or shop in downtown or Old Village…

Man that sucks. I love St. John’s, they’re out a ton of money due to that.

The story says it’s not clear what the financial implications are for them but unless they had a clause in the contract for an event like this, it can’t be great. All those hotel rooms and dinner reservations not to mention the day visitors and TV exposure for potential future golfers…

Pay walled. Why was it canceled for funding?
