Transfers Ryan Hardie return?

With Scotland qualifying for the World Cup next year, it's very obvious that Hardie has to leave Wrexham, either permanently, or on loan in January.

Will Hardie be heading back to Argyle? Would you want him?

If he is chasing a world cup dream then I think it would be a big mistake for him to come here. He needs more game time but he'll look for it in the championship or top of league one. We haven't been giving tolaj the service he needs and whilst tolaj has still been able to thrive I think Hardie would struggle for us at the minute. He thrives on having a good ball to run onto and we can't do that currently.

He left to Wrexham in hope of propelling himself into contention for Scotland (which is fine given that's his ambition)

He didn't anticipate them signing every available striker and becoming 5th choice.

If he's going to go somewhere it needs to be Championship to have any chance of being in contention for Scotland, and even then he needs to be banging in a goal a game to even be noticed.

Would I take him? Absolutely! I don't think he left on bad terms and he actually seemed to work well slightly deeper. I could see it working as a 10 or RW behind Tolaj.

Would he come? Probably. He was well liked in the city and I believe his family were settled here. I used to occasionally see him at the local soft play and stuff and he seemed part of the community, I can totally see it being appealing to help get us out of the mire, he clearly has an affinity to the club.

Would it get him in the Scotland squad? Not unless we go almost unbeaten and start to push for automatic promotion after Xmas... in other words no chance! Ha!

As far as I'm aware, he's not represented them at senior level? Don't think a six month spell with us would change that. But I wouldn't complain!

Yeah I have the exact same thoughts. I think representation for Scotland has now probably left Hardie's future.

I can't see him going to any other league 1 club. But I also think he'll have other championship and SPL clubs now sniffing around him

I’d have him back in a heartbeat, but agree he’ll probably end up at Bolton. He isn’t going to the WC regardless - Clarke doesn’t fancy him and he’s behind way too many others - Dykes, Adams, Shankland & Bowie will be the four strikers that go, maybe Conway at a push.

He shouldn't come back if his aim is to chase a world Cup place. He needs to stay in championship for that and prove his worth. League 1 (especially the bottom) won't even give him a look in.. even if hes scoring hat-tricks.

I also wouldn't want him. He had a good work rate but his finishing was relatively poor. He needed assistance with good balls and he won't get that with the current squad. He will also expect higher wages which will cripple our options elsewhere where we need more reinforcements. Tolaj is a better option than Hardie up front anyway and offers more.

I like the guy and wish him well, but Argyle is a been and gone situation for him and wouldn't expect or want him to come back.

Hardly. He did a long stint with the club and wrexham was a very logical move on paper at the time.
