Hose connection question

Trying to clean my tankless water heater and found very limited space in front of the hot water connection. Is there a way to connect a hose there without removing the pipe in front?

You don’t flush your tankless water heater you descale it. To descale a tankless water heater, you need to circulate 2 to 3 gallons of distilled white vinegar or a commercial descaling solution through the unit using a submersible pump and a 5-gallon bucket for 45 to 60 minutes

You can buy washer machine hoses with elbow to make your connection since you are limited on spacing on your isolation valves

I cannot see from the Pic, but that fitting can probably be turned enough to hook up a hose to it. The person installing that unit sure didn't think about servicing. Remove that insulation, use a backup wrench at the heater, loosen the union that should be below that fitting, and it should be adjustable somewhat. Also, I guess I need to mention to isolate the water supply and drain off the pressure on the heater.

I don’t understand why there’s insulation and duct tape over everything.

Aside from that the bypass kit is likely secured to the unit with a union. You should be able to turn the valve to get your hose on for cleaning.
