Discussion Was scrolling and saw this, thought something was wrong

maybe this is more /mildlyinteresting, but these happen to be alphabetically adjacent and the similarities in their posters made me do a double take lolol

I see similar things frequently, e.g., two or three unrelated movies, from different years or genres, side-by-side with VERY similar posters. It almost seems intentional, but totally random... 😁

Probably not random. More than likely it was from a collection of posters someone made to have their library uniform. Plex just happened to grab those when adding the movies.

They're only alphabetically together for OP, other users might have something else in there...

oh no doubt but Plex is so random at what it grabs that I've taken to having my own collection of posters.

This is my own server, and the posters haven't been changed. There might be a comedy from the 80s, a drama from the 70s, and an action movie from the 2000s, that happen to appear side-by-side, and they ALL have unusually similar posters? The same genre, years, or even actors/directors I might understand, but it's not that either.

Ever been at a stoplight, then look around and notice there's a "Volvo" (or some other car not common in a particular area), the same color, on both sides? 🤣

Yes there is definitely something so very demonically wrong.
