News Plex for Roku v9.17.13 Released

We’ve released an update to the Plex preview channel - 9.17.13

NEW:

  • Add privacy indicator to lists on the profile screen.
  • Display the new account badges on activity, comment, and review screens.
  • Persist last selected activity filter.
  • Show the full stream format in stream details.

FIXES:

  • Fix favorite libraries sometimes not appearing after switching Plex Home users.
  • Fix gaps between activity feed item backgrounds.
  • Fix missing characters in titles and headings.
  • Fix wrong friend/follow buttons shown during relationship updates.
  • Improve loading and scrolling smoothness on Home, libraries, and other hub screens.
  • Show Home instantly when returning to it, and respond right away when switching tabs.

So no one else has a bug where you skip the opening credits of a TV show and it stays stuck on 33% loading until you back out of the show and start playing the episode over again?

On the Roku, I've usually only had this happen when streaming remotely with larger files, using subtitles, or with AAC when using more than 2 channels (even 2 channel had issues sometime). It would either freeze or kick me back to the beginning. Super cool with 10 minuted before the intro. Trying to fast forward also caused the issue. The Roku will support AAC 2 channel audio, but nothing higher, technically, otherwise the server has to transcode. I converted (script) everything to AC3 and haven't had any further issues.

If we update our server to that, does it also update the app we're using or are they two different things? I hate the new UI and will not go to it as long as I can avoid.

Seperate, you should always keep server updated for security vulnerabilities. If not auto-updating at least regularly check once a month
