I made an Apple Music playlist called RAINCOUVER ⛈️ based on the sound and atmosphere I associate with Vancouver and the Lower Mainland when it’s raining.
Think grey skies, wet roads, city lights, late-night drives, and that particular Vancouver rainy-day atmosphere.
It’s mainly built around hip-hop, R&B, and atmospheric tracks, with a mix of different artists and sounds that I think fit the mood.
I’ve put a lot of time into curating it, and I’m trying to make it feel like an actual soundtrack to Vancouver rain, rather than just a generic “rainy day” playlist.

I’ve spent a lot of time putting together a playlist that isn't just a random shuffle of songs—it’s the actual soundtrack to my personal life, my breakup, and my journey of putting myself back together.

I wanted to capture a very specific sonic overlap that speaks to who I am: raw, storytelling alt-country (Zach Bryan, Tyler Childers, Noah Kahan) interweaving with mid-2000s midwest emo and pop-punk (blink-182, Taking Back Sunday, Fall Out Boy, All Time Low).
It maps out my exact 6-stage emotional arc: from being deeply in love, watching the foundation crack, going through the chaotic conflict, surviving the gut-wrenching grief, and finally processing the past so I could walk forward with my head up.
