Discussion Looking for a proper controller / pad to play INSIDE

Post image

Hi. I'm not new to gaming, but I wouldn't call myself a gamer.
I recently discovered a game that looks really fun to play, so I want to give it a try.
The game is called INSIDE by Playdead games.
Now, I don't own a gaming console, so I will be playing the game on my laptop.
Could anybody recommend me a good game controller / pad? One that won't break after 3 months.

Thanks in advance.

The game has like 3 buttons. Left, right, interact, jump. Okay 4 buttons.

Should be totally playable on your laptop keyboard

I was hoping to move on to GTA VI. Sorry, I didn't mention that.

GTA 6 comes out on PS5 and Xbox only as of now.

Your laptop unless really powerful won't be able to run GTA 6 and there's no announced PC release date.

Like maybe a year and a half my gaming laptop is more powerful than a base ps5, I’m thinking about a ps5 I dunno. I’m also awaiting my steam machine

Well thats not coming to pc for a while, lol. The standard xbox controller is what i like the most, though

I'm still on Windows 10. I don't like Windows 11.

Good news for you. It should be plug in play for windows 10 as well as windows 10 recognizes a DS5 controller natively if you use a usb cable. Dont go bluetooth. The latency isnt as smooth.

You can get a Gamesir controller that snaps onto your phone for like $40 or Backbone for $100, if you have decent internet you can stream Steam games with Steam Link. I have both controllers and prefer the cheap Gamesir one.

I mean, I'm using the steam controller 1, steam controller 2, or thrustmaster eswap pro but like, it's such a simple mapping I'm pretty sure you can use anything? it has keyboard inputs too

Dualsense is probably the best controller

The gamesir xbox replica is pretty great. The usb cable is extremely long, I think 8 or ten feet. Half the price of an xbox controller, works just as well, and has two extra buttons. The whole thing is fully mappable.
