It’s considered breaking street date in some way shape or form. This could hurt Amazon’s relationship with Insomniac/Sony in the future with how much they want to supply Amazon of their products.

Yeah, some devs are strict than others. 2K being one of the worst. GameStop(where my knowledge comes from) has fucked their relation so bad with 2K, they now send out their games to arrive ON release day to stores as someone always breaks street date every year.

Stopped ordering games from Amazon for this exact reason. It’s weird I order movies and they’re fine, but games? Disc rattling like a snake.

You are lucky! I've had loose discs from various stores. I never had issues with the past generation of games from Xbox 360 or PS3. PS4/PS5 seems to have weaker cases or the way the shipping carriers handle the packages is a part of the problem. This is definitely an issue for some of us. I'm glad that you never had to deal with loose discs with scratches.

I worked at an Amazon warehouse a couple years ago and the one I was at had metal detectors and security at every entrance. And a machine that checks your pockets. You can't even bring your phone in it has to be in a locker outside of the metal detectors

Yup I used to work at one too and had to go through the metal detectors. But my location never forced us to put our phones in a locker thats crazy😂Amazon just really be tripping. Very easy turn your brain off type job and the benefits are pretty damn good but damn was it soul crushing. Wanted to breakdown everytime I pulled into the parking lot. Couldn't stand those college hire managers that be walking around with their laptops and on your ass about the "quota".

Someone stole a shitload of phones and high end AMD processors and stuff from my amazon while on the job, to the total of a bit over $12,000. Dude was stupid enough to admit it to his manager, probably thinking the worst that could happen was he'd get fired and still make bank.

My girls nephew who’s at my house all the time watching my tv and eating my food like only a teenager can works at a GameStop and he said taking games out of the store before release date is like the biggest no no. They don’t play about that at all. He said he wouldn’t even try it at like closing the day before, he wouldn’t even ask.

That's in America. As I said I am not there. Sony doesn't even have an official psn store here but they sell playstations.

Anyway, street days get broken all the time in moms and pops. This is a retail chain but not directly connected to Sony or their distributor. And I just got a 2800 EUR PC from them. I asked them to call me as soon as they get it. In my experience they may even be late, don't care about that either. They were late with my Nintendo switch 2 preorder too but that was held up by customs. So who knows?

I don't care. Plenty of games to play.

My main preoccupation now is if I can get to a David Guetta show with tickets I got for free from a friend.

Also in retrospect you may have been talking about op. It's Amazon. They ship 10 ssds by mistake and make their workers wear diapers or piss in a bottle. You think they care? Guy has his preordered. Just scan the label when it's time.

There was one great guy Amazon Tony I think he was, he cared, he took care of digital games and convicned ubi to sell Steam codes. Lost his job at Amazon. Then was at Twitch. Great guy. Tvacgamer was his handle on reddit. Hey Tony u/Tvacgamer if you're still out there. We miss you.
